I'm sure you will see for yourself that we're a pretty good bunch on here and you wont let anybody down. Just like our last three years as a club we work well as a team, well most of the time anyways! As great as it is to have you back on board, I just get the feeling that Dave and Meastro are on standby now for what might ensue!
Anyway, onto other matters..Dave, what's all this points bollox about reputation ect?! This is too much like that Facebook ****te. All a man needs is somewhere to air his views, talk about the greatest club known to man, and rip the crap out of the scum. My needs are simple.
None of it really matters. Points are generated by commenting, posting new threads, creating threads lots of people comment on, etc, it doesn't really mean a lot. Reputation (the Sheriff's Badge) is a way of giving people feedback on what they post, if you can be bothered to use it. You can leave a comment, and it all shows up if you go to the settings menu. The more someone gets positively rep'd, the higher their 'rep power' gets, which means when you give people positive rep then it's worth more. Rep is also connected to the green rectangle under where it says achievements. If your rep is positive it's green, and if it's negative it goes red. If you reach 100 positive rep, you get a second green rectangle, and I think if you reach 100 negative rep the forum auto-bans you for a while (at least it used to). It's all irrelevant really!
Ah, so it's like scouts....see who can get the most badges? (not buggered by the scout master, which i believe would be Dave?). Well im sure it'll soon turn red, having just dropped in on the binners page to say hi... But thanks for the explanation.
