I don’t think anyone can sensibly argue against how good Ronaldo is.
He arrived late into the season and played for a basket case of team who created little. Most of his goals were all his own work - as Spurs know only too well.
It’s hardly surprising he got votes when he was among the top scorers despite playing for a rubbish team.
Son would have been lucky to get half a dozen goals as a Utd player, however good he may be at times in tandem with Kane.

Posted in the club thread too but probably just as valid here:

All 66,000 tickets were sold out in 25 mins for our friendly against the K-team in South Korea, and thousands were still hoping to get some.

Sonny’s pull is ridiculous.
The second match out there has sold out, too.
Probably less surprising, as the opponent Sevilla is another pretty big side.
Lamela reunion. <ok>

Son's given an interview demonstrating how well he's adjusted to England's culture.
"When people cry, I'd (usually) want to comfort them and give them a hug," he said. "But watching German people cry, (I felt) I was able to take revenge by doing something I like," he added.
<laugh>

It's a fairly unusual response for him, but he apparently faced a lot of racism in Germany:

I could be wrong, but I think he makes a point of doing something similar when he plays for us.
We're all familiar with his usual goal celebrations, but some teams get a shushing gesture instead.
I suspect that's why and his refusal to elaborate might support that.

So, how's Saido Berahino doing...?

Berahino's currently a free agent, despite having scored 8 in 29 for Sheffield Wednesday last season.
He's still only 29, so it seems a bit odd that nobody's picked him up. New Striker? <whistle>
