You are probably right then Silvio. I remember him playing some great games under Hughes, West Brom away, Arsenal home but as I recall he was in and out of the start 11.

    Very astute comment Matt

He was sub for a bit too, I confess he never seemed to be a fixture, the numbers surprised me when I looked them up.

Ok.......................I'm going to say it and then I'll let the pro and anti camps pick over the corpse................

Taarabt is our best player............he has just completed 90 minutes in a friendly..............we are bottom of the league with little sign of much creativity.......

    PLAY HIM!!!!

Attack and try to get out of this mess:

    ---------------------------McCarthy-----------------------
    Isla---------------Onuoha----------Caulker-------------Yun
    --------------------Barton---------Sandro-----------------
    Vargas---------------------Taarabt------------------Hoilett
    --------------------------Austin---------------------------

Adel always plays well against sides managed by Brendan Rodgers.

Oh he did that alright. Gave the ball to the opposition more than anyone else.

This is revisionism at its finest. He was pony with us ever since we got promoted. Pure sh*te.

In all honesty Col, I've always said he should have been it that position 2 years ago when Hughes gave him the 10 shirt and new contract.
Problem is he bought into his own hype and his atitude let him down.
Facts are, i've never said he wasnt good enough (i may have once on a drunken rant )..purely that he wont make it at the top level and thats down to his atitude, commitment, work ethic, team ethic, training, respect, diet, apprecition of position etc...
I dont personally believe he's our best player but he is certainly skillfull, thats a personal choice and you certainly have a good case.
Got to wonder why the likes of Barton, Dunne, Green & Hoilett have got further in thier careeers than he has? If its not skill then (which we both agree on) you tell me, why has he not done better than these boys......?

This is a good looking team. The only person who can make sure Adel gets played is Adel. I wonder why i always feel like i have deja vu on this site
