Most people in the OSC's original poll didn't know it was taking place, so there were only about 150 votes if I remember rightly. However there was still a big majority against the name change, and that was to Hull City Tigers; a lot of people say they'd accept HCT but not Hull Tigers. I can't understand that myself, I think they're both **** names and most unwelcome. But the point is that vote would probably have been an even greater majority against the name change.

In any poll you'll get more people who don't vote than do vote, but you can't assume anyone has a particular view if they don't vote, that's ridiculous logic and no one would accept that as valid. The only way you can analyse a poll is to look at those who do vote. The only way to make that more accurate is to get more people to vote.

    Nope

I just don't like what he said.

I don't mind the name change.

I think Mr Allam has done great things.

But if he wants to **** off because he gets turned down by the FA

    He can **** off...….

    Simple as that ....

My x once told me is was my scooters or her
She wanted me to take driving lessons and get a car.

    So I ****ed her off.

    Me do not like threats.

Hopefully he won't go and hopefully he will accept what the FA say

After all I will accept what they say..… Hull City or Hull Tigers

    I won't F off either way.....

Blimey. If Allam's even lost Filey, then that's saying something.

You have to give some respect to Filey for this, I know it's the internet and we don't know each other but his posts have been pretty clear. For my point of view I think our strong season might have saved us in as much as if this Egyptian tyrant does clear off then I would be hopeful somebody will bite the bullet and buy us also his imbecilic name change crusade has given us a ton of exposure already, thats why if he could be the bigger man and stand down then he's already got us the exposure he was after!

I'm not a businessman John but I would be hopeful that this would be the case if he does go, I would hope we wouldn't go down the tubes but you have to stand up for what is right sometimes even if the consequences are horrible and the fact this man is playing on fans fears makes me sick in all honesty.

On a day that we break our transfer record........Our owner once again stresses and emphasises who is in charge of Hull City football club. One day soon he may well be in charge of a club called Hull Tigers. You may choose to follow Hull Tigers, you may not. Each to their own on that. The best owner we have ever had impresses me more every day.

Assam Allam, take a bow son.

I've done everything I could to remain respectful to the man who saved our club, but he just does not know when to shut the **** up!

He's lost all respect, from any neutral, surely!

How can you alienate your fans and blackmail the governing body and then claim you have a brilliant business acumen. Also, where does it stop if he does get away with it?

Let's say Hull Tigers goes through, he wants to move out of Hull and play in his own stadium, and if you don't like it then he'll pull investment.

I don't like threats from people when it comes to **** like this. Your customers don't want it, then stop doing it!

The club are in an identity crisis. We are called Hull City Tigers on the website, Hull Tigers via email, Hull City via Facebook Twitter and Vine. It's ridiculous. I'm not sure half of the players know who they play for these days!

I'm just fed up of it all.

I miss Adam Pearson. I'd much rather be a mid table Championship side under Peo than having to succumb to the whim of a rich guy in the Premier League.

Best Owner? You're having a laugh aren't you? Richness does not equal greatness.

Anyone who thinks he could not extricate himself to hardly any financial loss is deluded. What we would have left at the end of the process would be nowhere near what we have as a football club at present. However we wouldn't be left hours from liquidation with no knight (standard bearer?) in shining armour on the horizon.

As for who would buy us or be in control, does it matter? They come and go!

He must have had a lot of time on his hands in the 80s.

I liked him as the dungeon master. A much underrated performance.

i would agree in a general poll , in a closed group poll , one where each member is emailed to place their vote , surely its expected that those wanting to use the abstain example would do so and would also have a valid point to claim . - I'd argue that in this instance it is totally valid to say those not voting dont care either way (even if there was an option to vote as such)

I dont know the ins and outs on who received notice as to their voting instructions but it was publicised by email at the least

Nobody has to like him if they choose not to. It may come down to priorities. Some will have the greater good of the club at heart. Some will be obsessed with the cult of personality.

People die. Owners come and go. The club is forever.

You can hate the man with a passion (many do) and still retain your love and support for the club.

I do, which is why I resent the prospect of having to call it Hull Tigers.

I hate him for trying to do it.

When you say "the club" do you mean Hull City? That's who I have followed for decades, if or when it goes, so do I.

There is no blackmail involved. He is simply stating how it is going to be. He may leave, you may leave. Nobody really cares. At the beginning of each new season I will check the fixture list. I couldn't care less who owns the club, I couldn't care less if you or countless others chuck in watching the mighty tigers. I will support the black and amber entity whilst it is based in Hull or until the day I die.

That may depend on what he is actually trying to achieve. If he is all about a cheap advert for a potential sale in future times, he may have played a blinder. All publicity is good publicity so they say. The club has had more column inches then we have ever had before, there is no denying that. Some of it may be cringeworthy to us as fans, but as I pointed out a long while ago. Assam Allam does not give a flying fxxk what fans think. They are the least of his considerations. I think this is now sinking in with some people.
