For me, if the proper procedure is carried out as laid down by the games governing body, which includes fan consultation etc and the FA then allows the name change, then that's ok by me. Line drawn, move on. What is not ok is holding a gun to peoples heads and then telling them what's going to happen if you don't get your way. Don't do it unless you're prepared to pull the trigger. Can't believe that NOBODY within the club can not see how this looks to outsiders, though maybe they can, but are just too scared to say anything to him. FFS he isn't Vito ****ing Corleone.
I hope it does happen, I hope he walks away & the the club goes into admin. I also want us to be relegated.
I'm sure that'll be a popular position to adopt. Resulting I expect in a decrease in the number of paying supporters. Alternatively, the club will thrive, the fan base will grow, the F.A. will be happy and feel vindicated in their decision and the City Council will name a road after Assem. The "Assem Allam Way", a road that runs rings around the city?
How will it grow? Why will it grow? What evidence is there to suggest that additional generated income would not also be attracted as Hull City? I'm happy supporting Hull City whatever division we're in, I won't whore my soul to the Premier League. Admin will ensure he loses the loans he's provided.
Because the club thrives and does well in the Premier League. More people will want to watch it. You would rather see the club in administration then change name, I would rather change name then see the club in administration. I guess we'll have to agree to differ, but that doesn't mean I care any less about the club than you do.
Had it been a shrewd business manouvre to achieve a clearly beneficial end goal, you could have a point. As it is, it the desperate rantings of a bloke who has seen his petulance go unrewarded. He's played it wrong from begining to end. Imagine, if the story now was that his proposal for a leisure complex, including an ice rink and olympic swimming pool was ridiculed by a man that's looking to be involved with an arms length company operating the council leisure complex including an ice rink and swimming pool... Do you reckon you could spin that to get public support?
If our owner wasn't acting like a lunatic, that wouldn't be the proposition at all. We're already tenth in the Premier League, we're already getting all that exposure and doing well, there is absolutely no reason for a name change, other than our owner is sulking.
Will the club not grow in the PL as Hull City, what difference does Hull Tigers make? What evidence is there to suggest that additional generated income would not also be attracted as Hull City? What makes you think we'll be in admin if we don't change our name? it appears you'd rather see Hull Tigers in the PL, the determining factor on you part is the PL.
I bet the little gippo thinks he can walk on water as well. For me he can WALK whenever he is ready .24 hours won't be too soon.
This story is now the lead on BBC sport news, that will help our recruitment no end. Stan Collymore ‏@StanCollymore Interview on SSN. Every fan of every club should watch it and be careful of what we all wish for with owners/our clubs in the future. http://www1.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/9115932/allam-to-go-if-new-name-is-rejected
Which could also be said of a "Fan" who says he'd rather see the club go into administration and be relegated.
I was under the impression that Ehab has absolutely no interest in football, Hull City or even Hull itself.
If Allam walks and the administrators turn to him and say here Mr Allam accept 10p in the £1 he can say no and the club goes into liquidation. Unfortunately he would still hold all the cards as the clubs biggest creditor.
You may well think that, and I'm getting ****ing sick of hearing milksop ****s like you trotting this out, but it actually DOES mean you care less about the club than us.
James Masters ‏@Masters_JamesD Modern football..where a chairman holds a club over a barrel, threatens those who oppose him and lets the fans suffer...#hcafc Good luck.
