I agree with you which is why I asked the questions. jck200 asked why you would pay to see a second rate film, so I've asked him if he would support a second rate Cardiff City when he could watch a first rate Swansea City. Lets see what he says.
Totally agree and and the vociferous minority seem to be very present on this forum. So the like of you and I need to make our opinions known. Rather have Mr Allam and Premier League football than Div 2 and administration, thank you very much. Please to see in the HDM tonight that others are expressing similar views. Hull City/Hull Tigers happy with either I will still refer to them as City but if the owner keeps splashing the cash to sign the likes of Jelavic/Huddlestone/Long etc let him change the official name to Hull Tigers-be my guest and thank you once again Mr Allam.
It was more complicated than that. You couldnt buy tickets with your friends unless you bought them together. That is the way that ticketmaster worked (it has probably changed by now). You couldnt buy a student ticket and an adult ticket at the same time. So if you and 2 people wanted to go toghether you could not go unless you bought the same style of tickets. Back before the club got good there used to be only 1,000 people in the stadium. So it was incredibly silly to have 10 people in a section and you couldnt sit next to your friends. The way around that was to get student tickets which were 5 bucks instead of 10 bucks for the last row in the stadium. This is also American sports. We dont have your system, there is no team debt, there are salary caps, no relegation or promotion etc. My team was capped on salary anyway (although we were still god awful). A jersey was $200 bucks and I used to get a couple a season (more than season tickets cost) so I supporterd the club enough. Later when the club got good again they removed the cheep seats increased prices from 10 bucks to 75 bucks and removed the student discount. They sell out every game every season now.
Nothing shocks me with the stuff he come out with or when it happens, and whether he is an utter cxxt or not doesn't seem that important either.
do we really want an owner who is stating he will simply 'walk away' should he not get his own way? it's a pretty uncertain and not a very reliable future is it
And anyone ripping off the club they claim to support is a c*nt-not asking to be anyones boss thanks. If you think it is ok for fans to rip off their own club then you can f off as soon as you like you plastic
issues like "we don't trust you to have a transfer budget so please kindly fail so we can sack you even though we promised you some cash initially" you can't airbrush history one day Barmby's story will be revealed
Plastic... heh. You have no idea who the **** I even am to make that claim. I've been going since 1999. Had a season ticket since 2001. Go to between 5-10 away games a season. When did you start going may I ask? Just a simple question.
No better or worse than people who claim to represent other fans, assure them they will release the minutes to a meeting they attend(supposedly on our behalf) and then renege. Stones and glass houses.
Someone said that he signed but that they did not get the paperwork in before the FA closed. Something like that.
No, they apparently ran out of time to submit it to the FA tonight, so they are finalising it tomorrow.
Maybe after a 6-0 win might not have been a bad time, but on the day you are having to business with a low rent outfit like WBA, this doesn't seem a bad day to do it either. To me there is never a bad day to come out with whatever he wants. In case you forgot, this is a free country (the reason why he came here) and he does actually own the football club.
