However, his identity being found out was ultimately down to him giving up too much information on here. He’s made all sorts of accusations when in reality this all initially blew up because of his own vanity and attention seeking.

Yeah true. My identity could be found easily. Plenty of others could be too.

Doesn't mean someone should start a thread with my pics on etc.

Not sure how people equate the blame to HIAG? The person that started the thread is to blame.

I tried it yesterday to see how easy it was. I did have the luxury of now knowing his first name, but was still surprised how easy it is. I guess playing in a band makes it slightly easier, especially if you post you profile on the band page.

Yes he changed his settings after I advised him to do so. I've done nothing wrong so banned for what? I haven't disclosed any information publicly on here whatsoever and as I stated before I may have acted alone or I may have been given said information.

Exactly this. A couple of specific bits of info plus a location and suddenly it’s not that hard to find someone if they have an internet presence which specifies those bits of info! As I said yesterday, an accountant playing in a skiffle band in Kent wouldn’t be that hard to find if the skiffle band had a website and the accountant listed his daytime job in his band bio!
