They found you on the net using information that you’d put out there, they put the pieces together and hey presto (no pun intended)

Having found you, what they saw was stuff that’s either been put in the public domain by you, or is just public domain info. How is that illegal?

What you know is what I posted on my Facebook page, an open forum, to friends and family members - jokes, anecdotes, band ****, the odd photo of my sons, my ref'ing exploits (in the early days, when I was still ref'ing), and other such trivial things.

It was public too as the stupid **** didn't know about how to secure his Facebook account...Well until a passing friendly Ninja informed him otherwise. And do you know, he still hasn't thanked me for making his profile safe.

Good on you, if you did. I hope you were suitably impressed with what you saw. I would be, if I were you.

All I ask is that, if you did see anything, you keep it to yourself, as a mark of respect of my wish for privacy. If I choose to divulge anything about myself, that is my privilege.

I would also ask that if you manage to find out anything about anyone else that you keep that information to yourself, as a mark of respect for that person's privacy.

It isn't much to ask.
