And yet Marvin Elliott who was alledgedly such a great player, is now at the age of 30, plying his trade in the basement division of English football!! Maybe, just maybe RP your faith in his ability was grossly over inflated..... I reckon his retirement is not all that far away either....
Exactly, and my opinion that McIndoe was NOT a fantastic player, he had an okay season that year, but the following he was pure tripe, and would rather pretend to look, dress, act and mimmick every facet of his play to be identical to Ronaldo, than do the simplest of things. I gave my dad my season ticket for one game whilst I was on holiday who hasn't been to a game in years and his quote was "was a brilliant game, but some bloke in orange boots needs coaching on how to play the game properly. He also looked like he was running into a 100mph wind, looked like he was running fast, but had no pace and didn't seem to realise even a cart horse centre back was outrunning him!" Won't bad mouth him over the freekick he scored against palace though. Oh and for the record, Marvin Elliott made Team of the Year that season. So if my opinion of Mac is flawed that year, yours of Marv DEFINITELY is lol
'Marvin Elliott made Team of the Year that season' Supcon - Are you for real. To compare Marvin's injury problems with Junior's total lack of ability sums you up. If you're still at school I forgive you.
If I had to pick a 'best' player from that playoff year it would be a three way choice between Marv Basso and Carey. MM was ok imo but not the best. My opinion only of course
Marvin Elliott 1 good season then his head changes shape to a 50 pence and his legs become like bambi on ice. Yet everyone only remembers that one good season, I don't think injuries done him either. If you want to criticise my opinion of him then feel free Redprint.
Tend to agree, was really great to begin but towards the end lost his ability to pass a ball, couldn't fault his endeavour but the skills didn't match up to year 1
