Yes there is no point in arguing when all British soldiers are murdering psychopaths who shoot children, stone innocent women and fly commercial airliners into buildings. Whilst the Taliban and IRA etc are brave freedom fighters who have never killed innocents (or hidden amongst/behind them) and are bravely fighting on for their just cause

Yes but you could argue a lot of civilians killed by The Army in Eire were accidents. The IRA, Taliban whatever deliberately hide alongside and dress as civilians (which is itself a war crime) to cause this. I'm not justifying any killing of civilians btw, it just pisses me off that people on here fail to accept that their 'resistance movements' do it as well.

The BA have always been ****s and not very smart ones. Look at Dublin 1916, that alone would have been a disaster for the rebels but the British made it worse by their torture and execution of the prisoners and that is what garnered support for the Republicans. Same thing in the 60s and 70s with things like Bloody Sunday and internment of 100s of innocent people. Would the support for the IRA have been as strong if it weren't for that? It's doubtful. PS that is not to make excuses for anything the IRA did as I condemn it all.
I can live with that sam What you have to understand though is that throughout history most 'resistence movements' have been borne from some sort of oppression etc even the legends of the likes of william wallace, rob roy, robin hood etc were based on and borne out of injustice and oppression The difference with the countries we are arguing about Iraq and Afghanistan, the civilians have been screwed over from all angles by western powers in one way or another Who put sadam in for example? he killed the civilians.
