I still think he played terrible at SB in the first leg He scored, therefore he played good. You lot all brag about him only being there to score goals, so if he scores, it's a good game, and if he doesn't, it's a bad game. It is as simple as that.
It was good at times, but still generally not up to PL level - he needs to improve that area of the game. Not necessarily - if you build the right kind of muscle through the right kind of training you can keep your pace. When I was playing in Sunday league I managed to bulk and and get faster simultaneously. Modern training techniques mean it's not an either / or decision any more. Hey Ginge! Good to see you're still not bitter at all! In the first leg it was his movement in the box that dragged Terry out of position to create space for Rooney to shoot. So he made the contribution he needed to in that game as well
Reasons Hernandez is shocking: He plays for Man United. He doesn't play for Arsenal. He's not Carlos Vela (And never will be). He scores goals and nothing else, as opposed to doing everything but score goals. He's a bean flicker. Your mum fancies him. Your dad fancies him. He's probably ****ed both, and you're gay.
I was under the impression that the lad was bought to score goals. I think I read somewhere he's a striker and that's their job.
Very good young player, and I think his overall play is improving. There were times last night when he took a long pass under pressure and it seemed he would lose possession, but he somehow retained the ball. And his ability to find space is brilliant.
"Potential" I think that the main point is being forgotten here. Hernandez is not the finished article.
Never bitter mate, The best team went through over the two legs Three chances and only scored one speaks volumes about our finishing Not Good enough
Great player and will have a great partnership with Rooney in the future. He may not be strong enough to effectively hold the ball up but we have Rooney for that and his intelligence and movement makes up for a lack of strength.
