The UN is to investigate itself again after it was revealed by the London Telegraph today that more than twenty different cases of child sex slavery involving UN staff have been reported in southern Sudan.

The Telegraph reports that it has learned of dozens of victims’ accounts claiming that some peacekeeping and civilian staff based in the town are regularly picking up young children in their UN vehicles and forcing them to have sex. The Telegraph states that it is thought that hundreds of children may have been abused.

The UN has up to 10,000 military personnel in the region, of all nationalities and the allegations involve peacekeepers, military police and civilian staff.

The Telegraph also states that the Sudanese government, which is deeply opposed to the deployment of UN troops to Darfur, has evidence of child sex slavery, including video footage of Bangladeshi UN workers allegedly having sex with three young girls.

Reported in January 2007, no UK personnel were in Sudan at that time.

I believe your initial response was, and i quote:

FWNN I'm not interested in anything you have to say.

face it youre full of bullshit, with some sense if 'loyalty' to the forces, being ex squaddie i assume, you laugh at your grandfathers tales of hanging the japanese during the war for being japanese, then talk about how the british forces can do no wrong but all others are evil

the labelling of me doesnt impres anyone either, i am anything but a pacifist. just dont believe the hypr that someone feeds me.

you admit being in ireland, its obvious orders are more important than the right thing

wake up ffs, or are yo always going to do what you are told/ordered

look up the crimes as you do with your rebuuttals. look at the cases in Kenya

or recentlt baha moussa, where the initial defence was that human rights didnt apply in iraq. it was ruled yes they do hence 1 guy getting screwed over. although there were many charged

Look up the case of 19 year old alhamidy and upto 19 other iraqis unlawfully tortured and killed in the BRITISh abu naji base. evidence exists of torture and mutilation of what is described as '...atrocious episodes...'

the Ministry of Defence has initiated its own Iraq Historic Allegations Team (IHAT) investigation, but only to keep it from coming to the courts. The govt is saying it will be too costly to bring all cases to court.

or do you think its because people like James Eadie QC said that war crimes charges could be brought against the men if, “and it is a very big if,” it was decided to pursue the allegations against the soldiers.

The IHAT was put in place by labour due to claims of the mounting systematic abuse by BRITISH soldiers. It is made up of military and ex policemen. so the likes of you (if indeed you were a policeman as asserted by some). so biased!

eddie was at the WUM but you honestly believe the **** you are spouting. You are willing to fabricate stories as and when it suits you.

You stated that UK soldiers had been implicated in the Child Sex trade in Darfur and now that I have shown that be be a LIE, you have moved your whole focus onto other events.

That is your normal tactic and to be perfectly honest it would not surprise me in the slightest if you have told a million lies on this forum which have gone unchallenged.

I'm beginning to think Stereo was 100% correct when he called you a "fantasist". It's either that or you are a habitual liar, so which is it really?

Ireland, Iraq,Kenya, squaddie, police brutality blah blah blah blah ****ing blah.

Give us the evidence, not rumour, allegations, gossip or tittle tattle that your mates told you, give us a source.

British soldiers repeatedly raped and mutilated an Iraqi civilian.
He alleges that two soldiers raped him, subjecting him to a 15-minute ordeal, then slashed his arms and body with a knife. He was treated in hospital for the cuts and the Royal Military police are understood to have secured the medical records. The victim was 18 at the time and said he was so traumatised he tried to kill himself.

33 cases of alleged abuse had been reported, including claims of rape, the use of torture techniques and physical assault. British soldiers in Iraq copied sexual and physical abuse from photographs taken at the notorious US-run Abu Ghraib jail in Baghdad, which emerged in 2004.

lawyer Phil Shiner said: "Given the history of the UK's involvement in the development of these techniques alongside the US, it is deeply concerning that there appears to be strong similarities between instances of the use of sexual humiliation."

Six hundred and fifty women who say that they were raped by British soldiers as reported in 2003 in the guardian.

More than half of the alleged attacks were gang rapes, and many of them were carried out in a systematic manner by groups of soldiers hunting down women at watering holes or in pasture grounds

A male soldier from the Netherlands claims that he was raped by two British soldiers while serving for the SFOR in Bosnia.

Ok I picked you up wrong you did not specifically mention “Darfur” so where exactly were you talking about when you said “I know for example that there are allegations of british soldiers involved in the child sex trade in places where they are 'peacekeepers'. The accusers are 100% certain but it is difficult to prove and easier to cover up”?

Do me a favour and stick to this topic, don’t go wandering off on another direction again.
Answer any time you like but be sure to provide some evidence, sources of evidence etc. <ok>

Ok, I'll field this one. Is it because they were British actors?

16. Nope - Irving Kerschner insisted that all the bad guys in Empire Strikes Back had British accents - all the rebels had US accents.
