Milliner was taken with the 9th, which was the Jets original pick, and Richardson was the 13th pick, which was originally Tampa's. Geno was taken in the second round (40th I think?) which was nothing to do with the Revis trade. Jets weren't expecting Geno to get there, so it really did have nothing to do with Revis. And pretty decent corner? You mean, Darrelle Revis, easily one of the best corners to ever play the game..? On top of that, "finally" got a pretty decent corner? What was Ronde Barber?
Wow! I watched the first half, but could not keep my eyes open any longer. So went to bed thinking I would wake up and see the score reflecting a tight game. I was expecting a 1/2 play win for either team. What a game it must have been in the second half.
Thanks Dan, I've just watched the highlights show, but it's not the same experience is it? It must have looked bad for Denver for a while there.
Think somebody got fired after that play Harbaugh should've thrown the red flag but didn't. The end of the second and the start of the third quarter is what killed the Ravens. Welker and Manning look like a match made in heaven, those two sync up nicely. And the Ravens miss Anquan Boldin badly. But Ray Rice looked appalling alongside with Flacco. Couldn't count the amount of overthrown and underthrown passes when I watched the game this morning.
It's pretty bad that the officials didn't spot it either, there's enough of them. I'm on the fence with reviews, I hate them in cricket, but not so much in gridiron, it seems to work better for that.
I can't blame the officials at all. Welker's body was over the ball, there was no way they could have spotted it in real time.
You are probably right Dan, there's been many a "catch" made like that over the years. I think where I have a problem with it in cricket are the different methods, Hotspot snicko etc; whereas AF it's just camerawork.
I missed that live. But having seen the replays I am gobsmacked that no flag was thrown. But not just that, I cannot believe the audacity of the players who don't own up to things that glaringly obvious. It's easy to blame officials but there has to be some decency from players to own up.
