Gerrard, Shelvey and Sahin, who have 3 goals each in all competitions. The only other player who has scred more than once so far this season is Suarez, who has 7 in all competitions. Michu is banging them in for Swansea now from that position.
Don't believe any of these rumours now unless Jen Chang threatens to post dogshit through the letterbox of the poster.
True, he seems very good in and around the box. Saying that, Danny Graham isn't scoring - Suarez is. We haven't played QPR yet either they defend worse than we do!
If I were picking for you my logic would be;- Gerrard - was perfect for that role...is he past it? (from what I read on here it would seem so) Sahin - neat and tidy, skilful, has shown an eye for goal already....maybe (don't see him sitting, and I don't know if he's got the engine to be box to box...Allen should play the box to box role every week that's possible) Shelvey - although I don't think he's earnt his England cap, or is anywhere near the finished article....he is a physical, competitive, specimen who likes to get into the box and shoot. So I'd go for Shelvey with cameos from Gerrard.
Nice to have a fair comment from you. Shelvey should be playing the single attacking midfield role imo. Has the energy, ability and determination and I am sure he could get 10 goals over the season in the league.
