I don't think he's ever said we are beneath him. He's 20 years old and wants to make the right career move at a crucial stage in his career. Personally, I'm very disappointed he hasn't chosen to come here, but when you look at our position and results, who can blame him ?
Funny, that's exactly what I thought when I read your post. I've presented a point of view with something to back it up, which is more than occurs over on there. I'm waiting for you to do the same.
Gayle did not want to come to a sinking ship, think he did say he wanted to stay at palace and fight for a place, however pardew wants to sell him for 3.5 million, why not go back and buy him,we offered 6 million did we not,pay him to keep us in the championship. you never know he might be interested.
All stories say we offered good wages but they werent enough, not because of manager, and there are a few conversations that touch on the problems here before under GJ and at other clubs, of having a overpaid prima donna in the changing room, you have to be careful. If high wages didnt bring him here nothing would....he just didnt want to come! I 100% IMO do NOT think Cotts has anything to do with players not wanting to come here.I t would be a massive difference if we were top/middle table! To most outside players we are a new team to the championship, struggling at the bottom fighting relegation, what do you expect? Who cares as a player if you have a nice new shiny stadium and a nice City? I think SC has hit it spot on by saying we will have to wait for some players who are waiting for big clubs, higher clubs to come in, if not at the end of the window they may be available, not because they hate us, but because they want the best for them and their families.
You never get a second chance to make a first impression. The window is fast closing, not just on the transfer window, but on Bristol City's next five years.
