Please do no mistake my enthusiasm as disrespectful.... we are all aware of the major mountain we now have to climb to just stay up. BUT I AM JUST PLAIN ELATED AT THE CHANCE TO TRY!!!

This time over the last 30 years we could only dream of meeting the likes of Spurs/Man U/Liverpool/Chelsea/Arsenal et al in a cup run. I look forward to seeing us paly.... may the best team win.

Hardly giving it large mate, just making an observation on Swansea's style of play. It just won't work in the EPL. Now, I don't know what they've been working on in pre-season, they may be aware of this and trying to work something out!

I have bad memories of the last time I went to Anfield to watch the Swans..... hopefully lightning will not strike twice.

PS Thanks for helping us out when we were in the deep stuff in the 80's.

Reality has never been a strong suit at Newcastle, some of them are expecting a top 4 finish again <laugh>

    How is that "bitter"?

We just like to have decent conversation on our board, rather than some clown fishing for compliments.

I take it you didn't watch the Championship last year then.........there was only one team renowned for it's all out attacking football...... the super swans.... and it was supposed to be the reason we would never get promoted. Who know's if it will work this year?

The club you mentioned had no decent midfield come the push, no team ethic and was a long ball team with a big man up front which backfired when he didn't turn up (even the Cardiff fans will admit to that). If thats your idea of great play then each to their own.

7 teams scored more goals than Swansea including Cardiff. It was your defence that got you promoted, no doubts!

I think you are confusing counter-attacking with actual outright attacking ala Blackpool

Swans play sit back, boring counter attack football not outright attacking style like Blackpool and Cardiff

Get your facts right my Byker Grove friend, to be a counter attacking side .... you need to hit them on the break..... simples. The posession stats for the Championship last year clearly show we held the ball, passed the ball more than any other team and then we looked for the correct pass. This was something that worked to our detriment in a few games and may well hurt us this year if we don't improve.... we shall see.

All the best for the coming season marra!
Swansea is one of the away games which I definitely intend to go to this season despite the distance from Sunderland.

How is this a 'football convo', this is just generic "I hope you do well but not against us" tedium mixed with a bit of brown nosing.
