I dont give a F**k about Republic of Ireland, also they were not winning that game anyway, so France would probably still have beaton them, plus he didn't do it in an Arsenal shirt. Anyway its a bit rich you harping on about that when you have your own handball specialist in the team, Van der Vaart.

I'll ignore the fact that van der Vaart didn't handball it against your lot and merely redirect you back to your own points:

I dont give a **** about Arsenal, also they were not winning that game anyway, so Spurs would probably still have beaten them.

Spoken like a true Liverpool fan - there was no handball, no matter what cock and bull story your manager tries to cling to in order to deflect attention for being beaten.

I doubt I'd ever consider throwing anything at a player, to be honest.
Hurling abuse is as close as I've got.

    I disagree completely.
This is a game of football that we're talking about here.
Nobody's life is on the line.
Violence is utterly unnecessary, even if it does involve potentially offensive foodstuff!

A lot of footballers could do with more integrity and respect, but Adebayor had been constantly taunted.
By your own definition of our actions, "(i)n the heat of the moment, it is difficult to control your emotions and curb your temper".
Is it ok for the fans to blow up and react, but not the player?
    If so, then why?

My point exactly - there is no greater shame in football than sounding exactly like a Mickey Mouser.

Sorry SNIAW, but my stance on the Adebayor celebration hasn't changed since it first happened:
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/F14755941?thread=6929034&show=50
    15th September 2009
"He deserves any ban that he gets for the kick in the face, but I think that he's being unfairly treated over the goal celebration.
Thierry Henry made an almost identical run against us at Highbury in 2002 and wasn't even booked, so I don't see how Adebayor can be punished for the reaction of the Goons.
I understand why they were upset and I'd have been equally furious if a disliked ex-player did the same thing to us, but their reaction shouldn't be dignified by passing the blame on to the player.
By all means introduce a punishment for any similar celebrations in the future, but it has to be one rule for all."

Pretty much what I'm saying now, isn't it?

Adebayor upset your fans by suggesting that he'd like to play for Milan.
They weren't upset by Fabregas and Henry saying the same about Barca, for some reason.
    You tell me.

As an outsider, I have to say that I believe that Arsenal fans' views on the transfers mentioned are utterly warped.
Adebayor, Henry and Fabregas all behaved in an almost identical fashion.
They all moped on the pitch, took time off it and forced through moves to other clubs, at vastly reduced fees in two of those cases.
I'll let you work out which two.

The two-faced way in which the two Barca moves were orchestrated, while both players insisted that they loved Arsenal to the media, was simply unbelievable.
Everyone else could see what was happening from a mile away.
    Cold, calculating and utterly dishonest.

    That's just it, though.
They didn't, they merely pretended to.
They said the right things to the press, while they engineered cut-price moves to a club that had already spoken to them and convinced them to join.

Far, far more dishonest than anything that Adebayor ever did.

Much as I do agree that 'Arry' is a good manager, who will do a great job for England if he stays out of jail, the performances of Ade are nothing to do with him he is just playing for a contract. We have seen it before with him, if he secures a contract he will go back to his usual lack lustre performances. Thats what he is like, poor attitude.
