I said in other threads but if they wanna shove us all down to league 3 we would deserve it and I'd have no complaints, force the owners to sell, bridges fully burnt for me.

And I agree, it's the owners not the clubs that need punishing. The managers, players and fans haven't done anything wrong and shouldn't bear any of the punishment.

 

If they punish the clubs they're surely going to risk them saying right ok now we are going into the super league..

It's the owners who need sanctioning.

I put it on the breakaway thread, so I'll just summarise here. But my plan would be :

(1) UEFA and the respective leagues protect exclusive participation. If you join another league, then you're out.
(2) Fit and Proper owner test made far more rigorous. HMRC and Serious fraud office to work on this to investigate financial backgrounds.
(3) Owners only allowed 60% shares in a club. 30% to go to other shareholders and 10% made available to supporters trusts.
(4) Supporter Trust representation on the board. To be included in all board meetings and major decision making.

 

I actually not fussed now.. They've pulled out and that benefits everyone.
