Very odd that he hasn't sent any of his second season chasers off some very fair marks. The race isnt looking quite so much fun now is it without a noteworthy Mullins horse or Coneygree. Oh well.
I took 7/2 on Saphir de Rheu today. If he is a genuine group 1 horse , a potential gold cup horse then he should win this off top weight. We all know second season chasers have a great record in this. Nicholls the saturday king. It's not original but I think it will win and if it doesn't it will probably lose to an outsider sleeping way down the weights.....
Shame if VALSEUR LIDO isn't turning up. Has had a wind op which could very easily eke out a good few pounds of improvement in him.
I may not know much but I know all about the antics of Old Nick! Bobs Worth never put in the heat but did stay on in eye catching fashion from 2 out. Let’s hope the assessor now does his job and lowers the former CGC winner a few pounds later in the week. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more...
