ermmm... i think he got what he deserved really.

i think the diamond with allen may be ok in the next game i thought henderson didn't link well with flanagan so allen in there might be good.

    coutinho and sterling starred today.

its a change but i think we'll be ok at least v norwich

Why blame Moses for Henderson's red? Henderson's touch was just as bad as Moses. Henderson should have controlled the ball better.

Exactly. Why didn't Suarez's goal stand just like Nasri's did the other week? And why wasn't Silva flagged offside like Sterling was after scoring?

  6. Henderson went for a lose ball, he didn't get to take a touch <doh>

Bit silly blaming Moses though, nobody forced Hendo to go for the challenge never mind going over the ball with his studs showing

Feel sorry for Henderson but can't really argue with the decision. I feel, however, that Lucas or Allens freshness may well benefit us in the last few games. Allen did ok today when he came on and Lucas will give us more control in midfield. Henderson has looked a bit jaded in last couple of games. Not pressing like he did a few games ago.
As BR says it's all about the group so someone will have to stp up and make a name for himself

I just hope this doesn't cost us our place at the top of the fair play league

First red card in 81 games the commentator said, since Jonjo Shelvey saw red vs United.

That's an amazing stat. Is it the first under Rodgers management?

I think he will be a big loss vs Chelsea as he offers something different in midfield and to lose him may affect our balance in midfield.

But hopefully BR will find a way around it, even vs chelsea

He dropped a bollock their did Hendo.

However Lucas has come back at just the right time. Allen did okay today when he came on too.

Henderson did have a poor first touch which meant he was running into the tackle. Was pretty much identical to Moses. I sort of get the idea of bringing Moses on, if he got the ball he could use his fresh legs to run up the pitch and relieve the pressure, only thing was, the 1 time he got the ball he had a **** 2nd touch which gave them the ball back.

He'll be a mis, more for squad depth than anything but I'm confident Allen/Lucas can step up.

Anyone know anything about Sturridge? If we lose him then we may have to totally re-think the starting 11 and go back to 433 with Coutinho & Sterling wide of Suarez and Lucas/Gerrard/Allen in the middle.

It was a red card, however Henderson is not a dirty player it was high and miss timed.
    No malice in it though

This was what the topic is trying to get across. It was a moment of desperation to win the ball back at a tense time. He will be badly missed for the next few games, hope it doesn't cost us any points.

Won't happen. He'll get 3 game ban, but fact is he did win the ball. Said during the game, 10-15 years ago it's not a red. But football has changed and you're not allowed to go in hard and make contact with the player after winning the ball thee days.

I do wonder if it's worth an appeal just to see what happens? Worse is they'll turn it down and he'll stay with the 3 game ban.
