Brendan Rodgers got the tactics wrong against Chelsea, he should be looking for 0:0.

I'll adit my true thoughts. Mourinho showed why he is a truely intelligent manager in that game. He just got every thing right.

    Henderson's absence made it easier.

Henderson is very important to us.

If Henderson adds reglar goals to his game and every thing else stays as it is I'll take that. I genuinely could believe he could be our Lampard.

  4. Rubbish. If Gerrard hadn't have slipped, the game would have ended 0-0. Neither team looked like scoring and Chelsea only got the second because we'd gone all out attack.

Last season our game was all about the first 12 minutes. Mourinho parked the bus to the extreme, got super physical and time wasted from the very first second and only opened the game up later on once our minutes of magic had passed.

we get his best years... my advice is the moment he gets an injury of any seriousness we should be looking to offload as his game is all baout legging it round.

Happy enough he's signed up and he is all about tempo and this is what we need more of.

I hope we move CAn up beside him and add one more to transform the middle of the park.

If ibe also sighed up i'd say i'm pleased by the contract work overall given sturridge and coutinho are looked after

    Skertl is a meh...

Sterling's been playing the game for so long the mistake was rodgers opening his gobshite mouth... if he's learned the lesson fine... ****ing chalk it down to "young manager" "learning his trade"...

Dont agree. Or defence was awful last year that sitting back inviting chelsea to attack and break us down wouldn't have been a good tactic.

Woulsnt have wanted tes us to gung ho, but nothing wrong with looking to win the game and score goals. Gerrard doesn't slip it's 0-0 at HT and we were actually playing ok begore that. That goal meant chelsea could sit back even more than they were before thoigh

  9. Chelsea's season was over after we beat Man City. They didn't just need to beat us, they needed us a Man City to lose another game too. They had no intention of attacking.

  11. Technically, we failed to win the league. We never had it to lose <whistle>

    <laugh>

Lampard was a 20 goal a season midfield player, who had the instinct of a striker and the finish to boot.

There's no way Henderson, who's 25 this summer, is somehow going to morph into a player of the attacking calibre of Frank Lampard ffs.

Either by fate or something else, Gerrard seems to have a soft spot for Chelsea, sadly detrimental.

Henderson strikes the ball too cleanly to get the required number of deflections <ok>

henderson is a work horse... let him be what he is.. I'd hoped he's show a brain and be able to pick a pass from deeper but it seems his best role is just legging in box to box making it hard for others.

nothing wrong with that... many players have done this at the top

I'd like to see can at DCM and another box to box player bought.

I'd like to see a diamond with
    Can
    henderson A.N.Other
    Coutinho
I think its got some merit that... but then again you need two teal forwards up the pitch to make it work

If we don't get a top midfielder this summer then i'd go for a 3 and try coutinho central at the ACM type role oscar has at chelsea... ibe and lallana are the wide men i nthat though or markovic so we might again see a buy i nthat area..

Striker is a big big worry...

    As is right full....

    as is GK...

    sigh...

lets just be grateful we signed up henderson so city now need to pony massive amounts to get him

    It's a decent deal IMO

Henderson only has problems when having to cover for Gerrard and that is over

He's coming along nicely with assists and goals

Sterling has 1 more goal than Henderson in the league so needs some #perspective
