http://www.espnfc.co.uk/english-pre...mer-hemed-charged-for-stamp-on-deandre-yedlin Brighton striker Tomer Hemed has been charged with violent conduct, the Football Association has announced. Hemed fired the winner in Brighton's 1-0 Premier League victory over Newcastle on Sunday but he was involved in an 88th-minute tangle with Newcastle defender DeAndre Yedlin. An FA statement read: "Tomer Hemed has been charged for an alleged act of violent conduct which was not seen by the match officials but caught on video. "He has until 6 p.m. on Tuesday [26 September 2017] to respond to the charge.'' Brighton boss Chris Hughton defended Hemed after the game, insisting the Israel international's stamp on Yedlin was a pure accident. "I have seen it, and my absolute impression was that there was no intention, particularly knowing the player,'' said Hughton. "My first impression was that there was absolutely no intent. I was unaware of it at the time, and I have just been shown it.''
Ahh, the old 'knowing the player' line. Like when McManaman attempted to break Haidara's knee caps and their manager saying 'he's not that kind of player'. From watching Hemed during the game get in to verbals with several players including squaring up to Yedlin, my impression is he is exactly that type of player.
to be honest mr marriner only sees what he wants to ... ( worst ref in the game for me ,him and that mike jones ) if it had been mitro or a black n white shirt that would of been red
I couldn't see a problem with it. Looked worse slowed down massively. Don't care either way as it doesn't help us
The ship has already sailed so not that bothered TBH, but then again, I`m not above a bit of spiteful retrospective pulpit screaming revenge, so, MINT! Anything that might stop a potential relegation contender from winning might help us out later in the season..
Yeah good to see another team than just us getting retrospectively punished. Hardly gonna be a blow for Brighton though, Hemed is an average championship standard player, and the goal on Sunday was a fluke that he made a complete balls up of hitting and luckily when in off his ****.
how the hell have they not punished peter crouch ..bah that was bad ...and the easiest red i have seen ..guess what mike dean missed it lol ..
Does anyone think match of the day have some initial influence with these investigations? I think they most certainly do.
