    Its a slang word for coal mine,gee you lads don't know any English slang words then.Up north we minimalise like [pit means coal mine]You guys expand,like the [old dog and bone]means phone.That's why the jaw bone is more worn down on southerners.Takes you about 2 hours to say a sentence you never shut up.
