Hello everyone,
I have been following this forum on and off over the last year and finally decided to make an account. I am a student from Australia and I have been a Newcastle supporter for around 6 years. I love the club just as much as anyone here and have been an avid supporter in my time, watching every game and checking the news daily. After years of hard work and saving, I have finally decided that this is the season to head to Newcastle and finally achieve a life long dream of mine, to watch the Toon in St James' Park and experience all that Newcastle has to offer.
As you can imagine just the tickets to and from Europe will set me back around $3000 AUD. Added to that further transport, food, accommodation and spending money and you're looking at an expensive holiday. So I aim to make the most of this trip and besides England, I also plan on visiting Italy, France, Spain and Germany.
I have targeted 2 Newcastle games for my time in England. First one is on the 8th of Feb and it's the away game at Chelsea, second one is on the 12th of Feb and it's the home game against Spurs. I also plan on watching Arsenal vs Man Unt on the 7th since I will be in London. I plan to go with a friend who is traveling with me.
I will really appreciate any help I can get in regards to tickets. I have never stepped foot in Europe and I have no idea what to expect. My concern is away tickets to Chelsea. I don't think it would be too hard to get tickets for our game against Spurs seeing as its on a Wednesday at 7:45 pm but again I don't really know what to expect. How should I go about with the tickets? I know its really early to be thinking about this but the whole point of this trip is to watch Newcastle. Also any help in regards to Arsenal vs Man Unt tickets would be appreciated, as a football fan I would be gutted to miss the opportunity to watch that game.
I plan on staying in Newcastle for 4 days. What should i do in that time? What is a must see or do in Newcastle? Is there any way I will be able to meet or see the players? I want to experience as much as I can, as well as stock up on Newcastle United gear! Finally I plan to fly out from Newcastle and head to Barcelona. What is the cheapest or best way of travel to Barcelona?
I know I ask a lot of questions, but as you can see I am very curious and very keen to learn. Any help you guys can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all so much in advance.
