Can anybody help? I am sure I attended Birmingham - Newcastle last night, but after various media reports and reading threads on here I clearly went to some other game.

I saw a game where Lover and Best both scored but otherwise were generally disappointing again, no doubting their hard work, but really lacking in quality if unbiased truth be told.

But apparently they are great, performed great last night and the future is rosy!

I had know idea how much I drank last night but if anybody has any idea where I really was then I'd be truly grateful. If it helps Tiote was fantastic at the match I watched!

A lot can change in 24 hours:

Regime change, stock market crashes, turds polished, RIPs opinion (though this can fluctuate on a twice hourly basis)

They did what was asked of them last night and put the ball in the back of the net. Not great strikers by any stretch of the imagination but with enough chances created they can score.

I think best genuinely had a good game.

He was a nuisnce to the Brum defence and actually won every header. Credit where credits due.

Now, I am still not sure about our front two for the future, but they're starting to show enough that we'll be alright for the short-term.

Best was brilliant last night, Lover still needs to get up to speed, but at least showed a huge improvement on the last 3 games or so.

I actually thought Lover did well breaking up the right wing on to Tiotes through ball, nice ball in to box where Best waited for it to come to him and allowed a brum midfielder to intercept despite having previously been about 15 yards futher away from the path of the ball. I was so frustrated I hurt my feet stamping in a paddy! LOL. (apologies to teh guy next to me who probably thought I'd turned in to a 6yr old in a supermarket demanding sweets!).

I thought Lovenkrands was better than Best. His positioning and runs were much better and he pilled a lot of pressure on their defence. Best did Ok but all this bull about him becoming the new number 9 has to stop.

I thought they did well considering the pitch! Not a suprise that both goals were from crosses though, couldn't play the ball through the middle of the park! Anyway hopefully the good form continues come next Saturday <ok>

When I put the match on the stream, I couldn't believe how muddy the pitch looked. Also got to say Lovenkrands was a threat throughout with his link up play.

Best won everything that was thrown at him!!! His general positioning was a bit ropey but i thought he was rather good To be fair. Loverhands did well for the goal but not much after that. Ranger did **** all when he came on unfortunately!
