When you connect to a site it detects and offers the application. I think its a bug in the website, when you browse your account from a mobile device rather than the mobile app then switch to the mobile app and carries across to the PC when you log on to that? Maybe cos you were logged into the mobile app last and did not log out when you logged into the PC and this messed with your account in some way? I think it is a bug that is somehow connected to the accounts that once it sees a device as a mobile device and gives access to that app pool then it sticks somehow. To rule out the above changing IP and account would be a worthy test. Both at the same time
