Again another one thats getting me mixed up with someone else get your facts right, i think you will find that was another one of Trixsters posts All the best Brookng
Trixter has been very quiet. Saw a bit of your game at the weekend. Looked like you were lucky to get a point. Nolan to the rescue again. I don't like him but give him his due he scores vital goals.
Sometimes those points gained when you play rubbish are important, because you can play well and get nothing. This season we are going to score lots of goals and leak a few, but we'll certainly be entertaining. I think Saints might turn out to be a secret pleasure for many neutrals.
Certainly the case so far â first on every match of the day this season, we're objectively the most entertaining team in the league!
Surely not the week we lost to Wigan? I avoided that one... Saw an enlightening stat on MOTD2's alternative view of the league table, where it had teams ranked in terms of how many goals their strikers had scored. West Ham were bottom of the table - the only team on 0. Not sure of the origin behind Kevin Nolan's celebration, but one day (maybe once they're safe from relegation this season) he should get someone to chop his head off while he does it - and will give a pretty good approximation of West Ham's playing style. Can't deny Big Sam is effective in the top flight, though! Looking quite forward to our games aginst them and Reading this season...
the thing is i dont think most west hams like big sam much either. Its a tough call for the owners as you can be fairly certain west ham wont get relegated but at the same time their never going to play amazing football either. Once Andy Carroll gets back their going to be hard to beat. he's a great signing for them.
The most important thing for all PL teams is to avoid relegation because of the money that is worth. I'm sure WHU fans will settle for staying up and boredom.
I understand the need to stay up, but it must be hard on fans who have been bought up watching football greats and really nice football, to be labelled the new Stoke
Watching Soccer Saturday at the weekend all West Ham seemed to be doing was hoofing the ball up to Cole to knock it down for Nolan. Worked eventually but hardly entertaining!
Really? Stats: Possession: West Ham 61% Sunderland 39% Shots On Target: West Ham 11 Sunderland 2 Shots Off Target: West Ham 9 Sunderland 2 Corners: West Ham 10 Sunderland 1 "Lucky"
Don't take it personally. According to most teams we played, Saints were lucky to get a double promotion.
Though we all know stats can be bent to accommodate a point they do make it look as though you rather dominated and could have been called unlucky if you hadn't scored.
Brooking,my apologies for getting you mixed up with Trixter, the post was certainly written in a similar style to the one last season. Are you sure Trixter isnt an alias of yours?? Either way it is good to see West Ham fans coming over to try and mock us,havent you lot learnt anything from last season when you went above us for 2 weeks, gave it large, then blew automatic promotion. I am sure i will be looking up this post come May,just as a reminder for you. Either way i think both of us will survive this season, although obviously i expect us to finish above you AGAIN. Good luck for the season, and i hope to hear from you and Trixter during the season for a bit of banter, both of you make me smile with your posts.
