I'm just trying to start some inertia... I figure people won't join if they see the forum empty... so trying to kickstart a debate with my magnetic personality... This forum needs more City fans to balance it out!

I made a full cake sized Jaffa Cake once (if I recall it was a 9inch round)! Not sure how the corporations make the orange layer- but I found a recipe that called for Grand Marnier and orange jelly amongst other things... it made a pretty good approximation- and had the advantage of being alcoholic... all in all was pretty good!

My wife is a yank and had never had a Jaffa Cake before. I bought some from an Asian grocery store of all places for her to try- but they were stale and not a good representation.

So I looked for recipes to see if I could make some myself for her to try. That's why I made the Jaffa Cake... she naturally loved it. I've since found them in a few stores in the US... I always buy some packs when I see them.
