I’ve worked for a pharmacy delivering EOL to families, I now work for a local Age UK who have an EOL team and I see daily what families go through. If you’re offered help Heidi by the teams, please take it, even if it allows your mind to take a rest for 5 minutes.

Eire too, I see dementia every day, it’s the families that suffer more than the patient, I also see how quickly it changes a person. Take every second enjoying your grandsons company mate, watching Leeds with you he’ll hold those memories forever

Can only echo the sentiments given to Heidi and Marcos, best wishes to you and your family. We should all try to make football a welcome distraction rather than letting it affect our mood.

Thank you. Got him to Whitby yesterday but changed his oncology appointment to a phone call today as he couldn’t stand on his own and it was a struggle with two of us. Again they were perplexed at how quick he has deteriorated and asked for him to go in to the ward for further tests. This is what they tried to do on Monday to get him on a ward but we agreed. Left him when I’d to take my daughter to pick up my granddaughter. He only went and fell banging his head whilst I was gone. His processing issues means he just acts as normal on impulse without realising he can’t do it anymore.
