It was invented by a Scotsman but the Napoleon bit was about right.

Not sure I like the sound of it but will have to try it some time.

 

Best savoured with a sachet of white pepper stirred in.

It is also the ONLY time when white pepper is mildly preferable to black.

 

When I was over in Spain there, we had Strawberries and cracked black pepper.

Surprisingly nice.

 

Bovril is nice with broken bits of Jacob's (Other brands are available) cream crackers sprinkled in it.

 

I've had that before and concur.
