I've already said I like TV and that I consider Eboue as a useful squad player. Maybe I misunderstood your previous comment but you seemed to be wanting to get rid of EB because he'd conceded an important penalty and his attitude was bad for moral.

As to the first point I'd say we've other 'better' players who've made more/worse errors but don't come into critcism. As to the other then I suppose it's just a matter of opinion. I like to have a joker in the squad, someone who's good for moral. I wouldn't be looking to Eboue for leadership, that I'd hope to get from TV/ RVP, but I would like him around to raise people when their heads drop.

Meh, it's all subjective and I appreciate where you're coming from.

It looks like many people have got it wrong.

Eboue was a fantastic RB, he took over from Lauren remember and he was better, in fact, he was so good that Lauren lost his place to him - and Lauren was an Invincible !! Eboue wasn't dropped for Sagna, Wenger tried to play Eboue in front of Sagna. Had this worked we would've had one of the best right hand sides in European football, solid and offensive.

Sadly this is where Eboue lost his sparkle because he didn't have the mind of an RM or winger, there was little end product to his play and the fans turned on him. Totally NOT his fault, it was Wenger's for insisting on playing him there. To me Eboue will always be a class RB.

Comments that he wasn't good enough for Arsenal prove that people either choose to ignore how good a RB he was for us or they started supporting Arsenal recently, cos nobody should be able to deny that Eboue was a fantastic RB.

Sagna is a far better RB than Eboue ever was. Eboue was good, but not quite good enough for a club like Arsenal.

Sure Eboue is a very good RB, no doubt about it. But to me he was just the wrong character in the wrong team at the wrong time. He would be a great addition to the Invincibles, a footballing machine where the team was strong and mature and a bit of a laugh and silliness would not go amiss. But he was playing in a young, insecure, "soft" Arsenal, which badly needed stronger and wiser characters and leaders who could lead by example. He is a great guy, and it is not his fault that Arsenal needed different characters to cement the team. Good footballer, but he did not contribute to the right balance in the team.
I may be completely wrong about the guy, it is just my feeling, but who am I to judge?

And btw, Eboue DID lose his place to Sagna. Bacary is class above, there is no argument about it, the best RB in the EPL imho.

But Hothead - he was SOOO erratic. Was a joy one week, and a nutter the next. Made me laugh out loud, followed by a shambles the next match.
