I'm interested to hear more from your mate, obviously respecting the fact that you don't wish to undermine his ITK position. As spectators we only observe what we get to see (on the pitch) and what the club wishes to present, so I'm keen to know more. Perhaps as a result I'll become less happy, and less clappy!
well bircham will be a loss, he was well liked and very straight forward. if the EDS lost, he would come out and just say "we were ****" rather than make excuses. I'll have something about taarabt when he leaves, its not negative though. I don't generally push him for info though and figure he will tell me something if he wants to.
Didn't know Andy Rhodes was his father. Remember him from my Panini sticker albums. please log in to view this image
Blackburn manager Gary Bowyer insists the club have received no enquiries about Jordan Rhodes but would sell the striker for the right price. Rhodes, who has scored 16 goals this season, has long been linked with a move to the Premier League, but Bowyer insists there has been 'no interest at all' in the striker so far this month. The Rovers boss does, however, accept the 23-year-old could be sold if a big bid is made. He told Sky Sports News Radio: "We've said all along that the owners don't have any intention of selling Jordan but everybody has a price, even Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo. "We're fully aware that if someone came in with an unbelievable bid we wouldn't be able to not accept it." Another player linked with an Ewood Park exit this month is David Goodwillie, who Bowyer admitted is attracting interest. He said: "David has just come back from Dundee United on loan and there are one or two clubs that are interested in him so hopefully something might get sorted out. "If not, he comes back into the squad as someone who we think might add something to us." Bowyer would not comment on specific targets of his own but did admit he would like to strengthen his squad before the end of the month. He said: "We've got a decent squad now. We're looking to improve and add to it so we've got to keep working hard on that front. "We get linked with everybody. They say we're signing this player or that player but from our point of view we've got to see who's available and who we can bring in, then when there's an announcement to be made we'll make it."
will I be happy back in the prem? yes if we continue to play 1 half a match will we stay there? no cant say im looking forward to a quick return with this lot
Sadly, Ive got to go with Flyer on this one. He's been banging on about Rhodes for years now, well before i joined this board and before I'd even heard of him. Flyer may make some "intresting comments" like bouncier stances and fouls being the fouled players fault but he has stuck to his beliefs & i think in all honesty, we'd all like to see a younger team mixed with a bit of experience IF we do go up, then the summer merry go round is gonna be interesting...to say the least.
I'll always stick up for Flyer. Great bloke and knowledgeable about his football.....but f*** me, I wouldn't want to sit next to him all night at a dinner party
No, just his empathy with the rolls... "they are all doomed, doomed I tell you, they will all get devoured..."
Im nothing like that at games, Beth moaned as much as I did (boy that sounds a bit dodgy!) the last game we saw which was Donny. Its probably because people cant say were playing great when were arent, even DT had to tone down the Boswanka praise in that game where he cost us 2 goals.
I wasn't blaming him but seeing his initials made me realise I hadn't seen him on here recently. Cheers Eamon that explains it.
would love this to be true and to come off - still find it hard to believe he would sign for us rather than a WBA, Hull, Norwich type club untill we were promoted or very strong favourites - which we're not at this stage. Here's hoping.
I can't help it, I'm a big bottom and carry on fan. it just comes so natural that I say them in the most inappropriate times without realising it.
there's a 75% chance of us going up and I think there's more than a 25% chance of that type of team going down. so hes more likely to play in the PL for longer if he signs for us vs five months guaranteed if the signs for them.
