Unfortunately, I think whoever their new manager is they are going to want to keep Maynard! However, like most transfer situations nowadays, the power will be with the player and if he decides he wants to go then they will cash in!

    Maynard? <doh>

He'll go for about £4-5m in Jan, probably to Leicester.

Plays for Barnsley. Attacking midfielder in the Wes Hoolahan mould.

Was outstanding last season at the KC when all eyes were on Hammill.

I was looking at a Barnsley forum the other day and they are very nervous about someone coming in for him in Jan.

Articles like this really highlight how lucky we have been. If AP hadn't found the Allams we would now be in the first division relegation zone spiralling down to the basement division again.
I think we owe AP in particular for rescuing us from becoming the new Grimsby and giving us real hope for the future.

Does anyone know who the player was AP advised against? Would that be Danns?

Seems like hes been around for ages, but he's only 21. Very talented player, I'd take him and Danny Haynes.

yes they change the figure all the time. the point is that he is out fo contract in the summer and if they dont do something soon he will stay the season and go for nowt. if big if i know, but if maynard has chosen to leave then bristol will have to deal in january. so we now wait to find out who the new manager is first.

if that happens they have more money than sense, imo. but the new manager would surely want to use an asset such as maynard to bring in a few palyers. imo, IF dave jones were the manager he would want to take Olifinjana again. whatever happens jan should be a fun month.

Heard that Bradys agent David Lee (ex Tiger) had said we are keeping Brady for the rest of the season but no permanent deal will be done as Fergie thinks too much of him.

at such a young age Brady is better off here and playing and SAF knows that. So city may get an option for a further year next season as Brady is way down the order and at least 2 seasons from being ready. But getting him for the full season is a good place to start. Good news though if true BlackandAmber.

I wouldn't call 'no permanent deal' good news.

i was refering to getting brady for the season. lets walk before we try and run.

i agree that all atempts should be made to try amd get him on a permanant deal. SAF still
owes us for the campbell fiasco and if city were to offer a first option buy back clause ?
there are always ways if all parties want it to happen.
