Morning all. It’s been on my to do list for a while but the time has now come to take the plunge and finally invest. Probably looking around the £300 mark I reckon so does anyone have any recommendations based on your own user experience? I really fancy a pair of bose but I’m not particular. I bought my son a wireless speaker a while back and in comparing the Bose speaker he wanted with a similar priced Sonos one, the Sonos sound quality was way way better than the bose. Any suggestions/links would be most welcome.
 
Use Sennheiser personally

Got a set of Momentum in ears for my portable mp3 etc player and a set of over ears - can't remember spec but will check later.

Both work great for me - decent bass with a nice treble snap but it's a very personal thing in all honesty

Always better to try them if possible especially if you're looking to spend that amount

Edit - over ears are Sennheiser 4.30 - can get either Apple or Android variants for use with portable devices

Have a pair of Bose in-the-ear noise cancelling headphones. Great sound quality and really compact so great on planes. Agree the Sonos bar is much better than anything Bose produces but very happy with the headphones. Bought them for 229 usd in states.
 
Headphones or earphones? I always go for Sennheiser in-ear £30-50. Having sampled a range of earphones and headphones, I can comfortably say they're as good (if not better) than the most expensive ones of the market. Overall, earphones are the better product and anything over £100 is a complete rip-off.

Sennheiser HD 4.50 BT NC Wireless Headphones with Active Noise Cancellation

I tried these in currys pc world. they are very comfortable and have a very nice balance of highs and lows. I've tried cheaper headphones and they just whack a load of base on them to hide the lack of quality.

They are on sale for a very reasonable £143.99.

This is basically the typical issue with the majority of headphones for what I would call home listening.

I use sennheiser for DJ'ing with and also for every day in ear buds and rate them highly so I would expect these to be very good.

The Audio technica I posted up really are a treat but significantly more expensive of course.

I work from home most days of the week and with other people in the house I like to whack a few choons on during the day. When I’m not working from home I’m normally on a train working so same thing applies. Always been happy with the stock Apple earbuds which do deliver pretty good quality, but I find they fall out my ears easily...plus with my new phone I can charge my phone and listen to music at the same time as they’ve done away with the 3.5mm jack, I could get a dual adapter but that’s one more thing to have to remember to bring/carry which quite frankly I can’t be arsed with....so gonna have to go wireless. Been thinking about it for a while now so my changing of phones is the hurry up I need I guess :-)

Did I tell you that my £8 headphones are not only wireless but they also wrap around the ear so they don't fall out.
