I think itll be toxic from the start, we need to be getting behind the team on the pitch as we can impact their performance if its all toxic on Saturday

Also its not a good look this campaign to get him gone for future managerial appts. We will always be attractive to people but i think a lot of very good candidates will be put off by how weve reacted to Beale. Social media can be great at times but this just feels like we are throwing our toys out the pram.

I dont rate beale at all, i have said that from the start but not sure ive willed a manager to turn things around as much as i am at the minute with him. Digs all over social media about his appearance and how he talks is pathetic and childish

I never boo at games but i also understand why some fans would, theyve paid hard earned money to be there and if they arent happy with the 'product' that theyve seen then i get booing. I just dont get these campaigns online for a manager thats been in charge of 7 games (even if they have been poor games), in my honest opinion i think its a poor look for us as supporters

Thats just my view
Many years ago I used to sit in the prem concourse when Riedy was here and as the teams were read out a group of men and women behind booed Dicho’s name I turned around and gave them a justified mouthful then after about 10 mins he throws himself for a header scores and gets a cut head for his efforts and the same mob a jumping all over, when I asked why they booed they all said cos they did over there well unfortunately this sums up some of our fans

That will be the least of our worries if this continues. The levels of toxicity will just ramp up and up. Once the home end has had their fill, it's over. That's why the appointment was so destined to fail and a very poor one. Incredibly poor. Just not a good fit.

People saying it doesn't matter where he is from, how he speaks. I say it does. It does when on the pitch it goes south and we all have to watch and listen to his absolute weak, bluffer bull in front of the cameras. We all know people from the north east don't put up with such nonsense, and that's enough for some on the fence to say it's time already.

He past record is poor and he simply isn't a head coach. A number 2. A behind the scenes cone man.

Would it look random / poor to fire a head coach already ? Yeah probably, but that's what you get when you make such a pathetic appointment in the first place.

Rest assured , if this carries on, they will do it anyway when season ticket renewals come around and the backlash will be there for all to see.
Who’s more of a cone man in their football coaching career you or him?

100% agree and as for the ‘appointing a manager who wasn’t wanted’ response, who the **** do people think they are. It’s a high stakes professional game not X factor.

So you are the cone man and he is the one with professional knowledge to be clear

Mate. He is more qualified than everyone on this thread.

That's not the point and it's not the mountain to die on.

He is doing **** and most didn't want him. Hence the reaction.

You wouldn't stand behind a surgeon* shouting "you're ****e" while he's working because he wasn't the surgeon you would have chosen. People should be given some respect in the professions that they have trained, particularly by people who aren't trained in that profession.

*insert the profession of your choice here.

My opinions on this are so complex. You'll see how conflicted I am:
  1. I never wanted him. Was very clear immediately he was the wrong fit
  2. I wanted to give him a chance. By all accounts he's a great coach and I trust Speakman.
  3. I now am absolutely 100% certain he won't last. He's dead man walking.
  4. I want him to leave as soon as possible. I feel drained even thinking about Sunderland playing at the moment. And even if its unfair on him, the feeling around the club is more important than that.
  5. BUT I am conflicted about whether we should give him another 2-3 games before we sack him. As like others have said, we look ridiculous and why on earth would another coach join knowing we sack so quickly.
  6. BUT we look ridiculous BECAUSE we have already been ridiculous. I feel like the damage is done, and sacking him won't actually damage any further. And whilst things feel horrendous now, the playoffs genuinely are still very very gettable. So why not move.
Sacking him now and the club lose all credibility. You only feel drained cos of all the hyperbole about how Beale is the anti-christ and the worst football manager this club has ever had. Take away all the noise from so-called supporters and give him a chance

You know they are losing the argument when this bull comes out.

fans are now wrong as the coach is more qualified.

Jesus.
Let's be absolutely honest, a lot of folk who watch football haven't got a clue about the game or the first bit of understanding on tactics. I'm sure many of the tubes singing 'sacked in the morning' are ****ing.clueless too but it's okay cos they pay their money

The fan base have a right to voice their opinions.

I guarantee you if it keeps up the club will back the fans. Any club that ignores and goes in the direct opposite direction will get some cold hard truths when they expect cash to change hands.

Been some bull spouted but fans not being able to voice their opinion because they don't have the same level of football coaching experience as the man in the touchline, really does take the biscuit. Horrendous take.

It's the Dunning-Kruger effect.

Beale is the fall guy, I don’t like him at all but I can imagine KS and KLD rubbing their hands at the fact he’s taking deflection away from them.

The ownership group need to step up or move on, especially worrying with the rumours of no budget being sanctioned for this window. I know the squad is bloated but at a very minimum we need a central midfielder.

The ones with a bit of knowledge are the worst though. Experts. I’ve heard people say he’s clueless, not qualified for the role, in both case’s simply wrong. It may not work out here but facts are he is neither so deserves that respect and those giving him advice in fact are not qualified and as you say clueless in the context of the professional game.

Yeah they are entitled to their opinions but I'm right that many people who go to football haven't got real understanding of the game. So if I'm speakman/kld I'm not giving two ****s what fans think. If he isn't performing in the metrics laid out by them then you can consider sacking him. You have to show strong leadership in this situation. If they believe Beale is right man for job support him and sign some players and at least give him a chance

Just had a look on Twitter, Jesus some of the comments on there are proper awful.

However people feel about Beale the personal insults are just not on imo. Things like that will have an effect on not only potential managers, should he be replaced eventually, but also on players we might be trying to sign. It’s absolutely toxic.
