I don't want to hear about him playing every position, he just turns into a utility player which I don't find useful tbh. I want him as CDM, taking over Gerrards role eventually, allowing Henderson to push forward and finally score goals.
It depends what role he's playing. I'd rather him have solid passing stats. Pot shots from range are often worth nothing.
A good sub is as important as a solid first eleven, and we'll be thankful when a big injury inevitably hits our midfield.
You mis-understand me. When I say bench warmer, I mean sat on the bench and not coming on to make a impact like Alberto this season. I know its no longer about the first eleven, its about the squad and having options to change things around to suit games etc. I just don't see Can being a integral part of our season.
Why not though? He's played for a good side in Leverkusen and has played in the Champions league. People are saying about how talented he is, he can only be a positive on what we already have?
