He was a poster on CI years ago. He was always going on about the pie forks. Edit bit : apols for taking this off topic
Not been funny but as a trust I think you have well and truly burnt your bridges with the club and can't see anyway back.
I said at the time that AA's comments about "die when they want " was taken extremely personally by my wife. I even spoke at length to James Mooney regarding this and he was very apologetic on AA's behalf. I'm not trying to regurgitate the past, just pointing out that both sides need to put the club first, and the owners working in conjunction with fans is the best way forward.
Haha. I am not amadtiger i can assure you. There must be summat in it though if 2 of us are complaining
I think I missed the hip flask saga. Could I have a recap and what is wrong with the guy? Not sure about the demands also. I would in my mind have been better to suggest they work together to build the Hull City brand and identity. Good work non the less.
I don't wanna be a killjoy but there is more chance of TWS winning the championship this year than there is of Allam working with the fans. The guy is a dictator and is not open to discussion or compromise.
After the first FA decision, a friend of Mark Gretton's bought him a hip flask with a rather insulting message on it, it upset some people.
Assem Allam bought Mark Gretton a hip flask filled with piss for his birthday, and engraved it with the message "Gretton Is A ****", for a laugh cos they're mates, and then Ehab got sad. Or something like that. I sometimes get details wrong. You're welcome.
Rather interesting, the club have been emailing people this morning... From: "Hull City AFC" <[email protected]> Date: 19 August 2015 12:10:34 BST
You were being sensible and refraining from nonsense, then this. No they really weren't. There's no context in which his comments could be seen as acceptable or reasonable. MG didn't make any comments, he posted a picture of a gift he was bought which said "**** you Allam. ****." Even if it was him saying it, that's a quick ****off in the direction of someone who deserved it. That's very different from labelling thousands of people hooligans, militants, troublesome and everything else, over a two year period and in various interviews. Most importantly, he was completely unjustified in saying it, which can't be said of Gretton.
The pies are too hot to eat by hand and you struggle to get the pie out of the foil case. Glad I could be of service to you. Our helpline is open from 9am-5pm. (lines close for training 9am-10.30am, close for brunch between 10.30am - 1pm, closed for lunch 1pm - 3pm, closed for afternoon training 3pm-5pm. Do call any other time not listed. ,
Both parties at fault but Gretton's was worse because it was written and planned. We all know Papa Allam talks bollocks but his ramblings are off the cuff.
So it's okay for you and committee members to hurl far worse abuse in their direction on a public forum because, in your opinion, he started it? Is that really a good basis to start discussions? Is a sensible, mature approach like offering an apology and retraction perhaps a first step?
