Get you Happy Tiger , just how important do you think you are ? I'm the trust will be delighted you might in future consider been a member
I can confirm that the Trust will welcome Happy with open arms - then elect him as Director in charge of handing out leaflets on Tiger Travel buses. Best served cold, etc
Oh sure, 3 hour drive, jump on a bus, most likely drive past me house, then back again...bugger off For the record, I have no issue with people using buses, but, like camping, it's not for me.
Gretton is a ****ing weasel. Whether it was an error of judgement on his part or not, there is no way that the trust will be anything other than a protest group whilst he remains at the helm. A bit like Labour electing Corbyn as their leader. The honourable thing for Gretton to do would be to resign so that the organisation could have a chance of establishing fresh dialect with the owners. But no, Gretton puts his own standing in this minority group above everything else and imagines that somehow he will be welcomed to the boardroom with open arms should a new owner come to pass. Meanwhile the trust continue to put out media statements like this because they realise their main reason for existence has disappeared in most fans eyes, so they continue to hang on and pander to the small band of anti-Allam supporters whilst pretending publicly that this is not their core objective.
why not ask .. Why ? ... instead of simply dismissing it .... a lot of fans have an issue with him ... why not ask .. or does he not decree it ?
ask why the aggression .. ask what he wants to input to HCST ... instead its immediately offensive and dismissive . try to engage people rather than dismiss them
The first post invited him to provide an input into the work of the Trust. His post was a vitriolic diatribe and not at all helpful in moving the Trust forward.
A supporters group has to have a reason for existence particularly if it reliant on membership fees or contributions for financial support. No member of this organisation could deny that this has been a single issue group since its inception which was to fight the name change. That fight is now all but over. To what extent the group influenced the FAs decision is almost irrelevant at this point. However what is relevant is that this group set themselves up in direct opposition to the owners of the football club, and they did this to the point where they are now in no doubt that hell will freeze over before the Allams will give any of them an audience. In fact, the Allams don't have to listen to anything this group suggests because they know their membership only represent a very small percentage of fans. So apart from campaigning to reverse the social rebranding, there is no real need for this group to exist anymore. Typical football fans in this country generally don't join supporters clubs. They are generally viewed as been a bit nerdy, and the committee like mentality that most of them adopt tends to put normal fans off from joining. To summarise, Gretton.... You've had your 15 minutes of fame in the local media. Time for you to bow out gracefully now and **** off.
Pleased to see the official response and also pleased to see the honesty and clarity it has provided. The dedicated thread is a good move forward, it's good to see ideas are considered and acted upon where appropriate; it's a pity to see the continued nit-picking and lack of tolerance or preparedness for some things to develop in a more reasonable manner. Finding fault and implementing the remedies have their own timescales, unless your purpose is disruption and then everything is wanted here and now, for whatever that true purpose might be. As this is now the official argument thread you can all just **** the hell off, you ****ing bunch of scrotes.
The trust should ask the club if they intend doing bring a kid for free offers and giving tickets away to local schools for good work or improved work at school... Even with a free ticket for mum or dad to take them Get the ground full seen as so many have pissed off......especially out of the west stand
The Shartarse posts above show why this forum is not a suitable platform to discuss Trust issues. There are plenty of avenues open for people to contact the trust with any suggestions or ideas. Any official discussions of these suggestions & ideas should be carried out in a public open forum & any decisions should be made via member & committee votes. If people have something to say then turn up to a meeting & have your say. On here there's no guarantee people are even City supporters. It's too anomymous with too many cowards present.
A group of City fans give up their time to run an organisation with the sole aim of improving the lot of their fellow fan, they gain nothing personally from doing so. If people disagree with the aims and objectives, then fine, but just slagging off people you don't actually know, just makes you look a twat.
