Thanks, TOM. It's interesting, as I'm trying to understand how the club and it's OSC are separate from or almost a part of each other; not for a critical reason, there's more than enough of that on here. No point in me saying more until I understand more and that will be after your shake-up. I think it should be published and I think it's more than the principle, I think the content might either confirm or endorse some thinking; a cleansing would be good all around. I've had a good look at your new website and it is good. I wish the Trust would be allowed its initial development time just as the OSC is getting its redevelopment time.
The OSC does not have elected Directors, it never has. That is how it was set up ten or so years ago.
But who decides who the directors are? Can I be one? Can anybody be one? Do you need to be in the cluque? Are you all self elected freeloading, backslappers? No wonder it's ****.
It will hardly be a shake up. You are wrong about the trust though. It has had just about the same time as the OSC. It's revitalised that's all.
I suppose being a self proclaimed back slapper is one step up to far for you. A self proclaimed back stabber.
How does it work then? I had a look at the web site and couldn't find anything about chairmen, directors or officers. No Names no pictures. I did see a title box airco arena so had a look there thinking it may be something of interest, it was only info about coming to met Steve Moran who played for City 17 times 20 years ago. Whats that about how it was set up 10 years ago, I'm sure I was a member in the 70's.
Look at contacts and you will see a drop down box. There are issues with how the pictures are displayed and we are aware that some are stretched and some are sideways. The OSC was introduced by Adam Pearson
Hmm think the Chair may be getting a few flirty texts. Its certainly a bit more representative of the population than the Trusts, middle aged middle class males (plt apart).
OK thanks for that, I presumed the contact us box was one of those send us an e-mail and we'll get back to you things. I was sure there was an OSC years ago 1970's and 80's, they used to run buses to away games. They were the transport of last resort.
Only recently has it been properly scrutinised, hence the shake-up. You have a brand new Chairman and board (non-elected) and you are going to make a post on here about some changes you can't yet talk about; TOM, that's a shake up. It's good, although there will be scrutiny about how deep in to the club's back pocket you are - these owners have corrupted the relationship, or so it would seem.
It's not representative of anybody Chazz. They are self elected. They're in the positions to serve themselves. FFS, they have a a publication officer who isn't comfortable with how to send an email.
Is that it? The best you can do? You're not comfortable joining a democratic trust? Is this because you prefer the undemocratic process of self election & a "we serve ourselves & not the members" approach?
We get no financial support from the club at all. But we have to maintain a relationship in order to keep our status. The OSC raises its funds through membership, sponsorship and events. The OSC also has a branch structure, that has elected officers for established branches. The difficulty that it faces is the same as many organizations, willing volunteers.
