So every teams fans who have banners with their team's name on disrupt the game? Do you realise how stupid you sound?
In that post that I was misquoted on, and I then reiterated, no, no I didn't. Nice smoke and mirrors. I'm typing reeeeeally slowly for you now. I was quoted as saying nobody cares in a post I never said that. Rather than nit picking with me, you should be more concerned about persuading people like Dakin above who agree with and support the aims of HCST but can't be arsed making the huge effort needed to actually join and swell your ranks.

Once again, the focus is on perceived differences. I don't believe many people are absolutely pro-name change, and even they must be behind Hull City. At present, the fact that the name change was rejected a year ago yet we still see little evidence that we're Hull City suggests the arbitration result is academic. Protests will only reinforce the chairman's position. We need to be looking at more subtle approaches. While we're doing that in the background, we need to be working to get the fans pulling in the same direction and supporting the team. That should be the primary point of unity, but one I feel HCST has yet to address. What about someone creating some alternative merchandise? Not protest shirts, simple displays of support? Showing that there's market competition could be one way of showing the strength of the name. Community events initiated by fans, in the name of Hull City, could encourage involvement. It'di be interesting to see if the chairman acted to try to prevent others using the Hull City name.
I hate the name Hull Tigers but I love going to games every week and don't think I could give that up and this is what he is banking on. There will be a lot of people like me. I will not buy merchandise and I will ignore anything Hull Tigers and chant my protest at every opportunity because I don't want him sitting there thinking that because I have actually bought a season pass I agree with him. Other than that what else can any of us do, it is so stupid and so frustrating that he just thinks he can do what he wants.
I'm the same. I've never bought into this if you continuing going to games you support the the name change. Nothing that horrible, lying dictator does or says is going to stop me doing something I've done for most of my life.
Sadly both sides in the name change debate have moved further apart for various reasons, I wont get into "he said this or they said that", on here, but I believe that for our club to establish itself in the Premier League then it needs all sides to be pulling in the same direction, it'll be hard enough as it is without the current disunity, as Dutch has said, "we need to be looking at more subtle approaches". Some weeks ago there was a thread on here calling for a vote for a design for a new banner, this might sound crazy (and unpalatable to many), but how about sticking a picture of the old man on it, it could be seen as an olive branch and a gesture of goodwill as well as a recognition of what he has done for our club, which, name change issue aside, has been better than we could have hoped for a few years ago, these multi-millionaires aren't totally without feeling, sometimes they need their egos massaging, it might, only might, create a softening of attitude on his part (or I might be off my rocker for suggesting it ;-) ). I have zipped up my anti stab vest and put on my tin hat, do your worst.......
That would disrupt the game and distract the players. At least according to some hysterical people who should take up flower arranging or something else less stressful and frightening than going to football matches.
Except I don't agree with your reasoning. Declare it now and we have over a week for folk to simmer down and the silent majority to be hushed. Yes, brilliant, get them to do something honest and straightforward.
That explains their relegation battle this season then. What a bunch of ****s they are doing that to their club. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As a general point. If fans don't know what is going to happen, either because of uncertainty (in this case before the arbitration procedure started) or because of someone taking the decision to conceal things (in this case after it) contradictory rumours spread about what will happen and they cause disruption. If fans knowing what is going to happen is going to cause more disruption than that, then what is going to happen has to be at least as bad the rumours that are being circulated (if it was better news then it wouldn't be causing disruption would it).
Thanks to those trying to bring the conclusion into the public light in a respectful and calm manner.
If you vote in May's General Election, will you be a member of the party whose candidate you are voting for?
It's none if your business who I vote for or what, if any parties I may or may not be a member of. I can however vote for any candidates I wish to vote for irrespective of my being a member of their party, thus potentially influencing the running of the country. Are you suggesting anyone should be able to vote on selecting the committee of hcst? If that's not your point, make it clearer.
[QU"Sunbeam-Tiger, post: 7684751, member: 1030378"]Just think back to the Cystal Palace game last season to see how a few minority morons with a stupid banner disrupted a game[/QUOTE] The people who disrupted that game was the stewards who tried to confiscate the banner on the orders of Herr furher Assam Allan. My father and several thousand other fathers fought for the right to peaceful demostration.
