Indeed he did. He is a versatile utility player. OLM doesn't like him though. I think we can surmise that.
Hayden gives us options, I saw that on Tuesday when he helped Huddlestone give his best performance in a year or more. We ought to keep him as long as we can
Meyler is equivalent to having 3 midfielders. Plus the club was trying to sign Clucas and Maloney and with Bruce clearly wanting to play 4-4-2 with signing Dave it pushed Elmo into midfield (winger). Aluko I would class more as an attacking midfielder/winger than a striker. So despite your hysterics, we were quite well catered for in midfield.
He was in my MotM voting in the last game, he's been excellent recently, but he's still not a left back.
He'd be fine. He's played left back and is comfortable in that position. In the same way he is now comfortable in this league. You're just Clucasist.
He's not as bad as that fella that was calling him 'Clueless' on here, very unfair on a young player finding his feet
I don't think we should overplay his youth - he's 25. Akpom and Hayden are proper yoofs at 20. Robertson is 21, Dave and Maguire 22. Clucas is old enough to babysit them or buy them booze from an offy.
Haha not sure about the babysitting bit but it's still unfair to judge the lad based on his first few games in a division he's never played in with players who are mostly Premier League quality
My scepticism over Clucas as a LB comes down to pace - I'm pretty sure that's why Brucey played Dave there when we were up against a couple of teams with pace down that flank. Clucas is sharp, tidy and has a good engine, but he's never going to be that quick over 30 or 40 yards.
Steve Bruce says No. Gave it the bollox treatment. Lol. Does anyone take what the Sun prints seriously anyway ?
The 'Dave' thing is beginning to spread, I know of three people who don't use this forum and they call him by that name. I've no idea where they got it from, but it wasn't me
He was a hero, he had no right foot either but he didn't allow it to stop him becoming a City legend.
Their parents must be so proud of them, I know that I would be, not only have they both had great footballing careers but they both come across as genuinely decent human beings as well. Not something that can be said about many footballers, so to have two from the same litter must mean that their parents did something right.
