You gotta admit it was funny as f**k!

If it of happened to another sides keeper you would be having a right old p*ss take.

I keep watching it on YouTube its classic.

It's amazing what two days can do for your opinion of a game!

Bring on the fish!!

Does anybody have any other names you can put into a search for awful keeper errors?.

Taibi! Barts howler was a carbon copy of Taibis howler at Old Trafford where Le Tiss scored. That is a classic!

If it happened to any other side, I'd still be laughing now. But, it happened to a player I've always liked, in a match that had a lot of importance, against a team I don't like, with a manager I can't stand!
But, you have to laugh, its a funny ol' game.

I really like Bart as well and still think he will be a top keeper one day.

I was so gutted we didn't win but watch it back and now and your just chuckle and cringe at the same time. :D

Davis made a similar error last season, down at the Chapel end. I'm sure he did. Of course the difference is that it wasn't just a stand-alone error from Bart, it was a horror performance from him throughout the game.

Rob Green in the world cup last year is another obvious example of that sort of howler.

Not really a howler, more a bit of insanity, but the save that the Columbian keeper José René "El Loco" Higuita Zapata made against England in 1995:

He did make a monumental howler that led to Colombia being knocked out of the 1990 World Cup by Cameroon, where he was caught in possession on the halfway line by Roger Milla who took the ball off him and scored.

Good thread. <ok>

It had to take something freakish to bring us down to earth a bit.
Bart is a top bloke and is/will be a decent keeper though may be not with us in the long term, but you never know.

They always say keepers peak later in their careers so good luck to him.
As long as he is on our books he gets my full support.

Just watched that! Forgot that amazing if not somewhat strange clearance! Just looking to find some more howlers! Anybody else have any?

This isn't aimed or putting the guy down I am pretty sure 80% of us are behind the guy and hope he still lives up to all his potential.

It's a cheer up thread with the greatest goalkeeping howlers.

Chin up Adam its past were moving on to pompey now! :)

Why did the bbc highlights show all of Blackpool's chances from the first half then not show Schneiderlin's (sp?) or Hammond's good chances.
