Hmmmm from your logic ML must ave been telling Pablo to pass the ball to The opposition for the last two weeks if tactics are to blame - when they're on the pitch the players are responsible to do what they're capable of. I for one have not been on the Pablo is fantastic bandwagon - second goal totally down to pablo's back heel
I think Pablo has the makings of a very good PL player and have said so before but he is prone to having a bad game ,this may be down to confidence ,he makes one mistake and then another and then he's trying too hard when he knows he going get ruined by Ash (on occasion rightly so) ,look at Sinclair he was an arm around the shoulder type player and perhaps Henandez is similar & Mr Laudrup is trying to get him past this blip by sticking with him.Any one know how is english is ,I've never heard him give an interview ? maybe thats part of the problem .
He can speak a little English but not much. I can forgive a player that is trying to something special, let's remember he has quite a few assists this season by doing what has failed to come off recently.
Pablo is always looking for the killer ball. When you do that the percentage of successful passes falls dramatically - when it succeeds, we usually score. The trouble is that some of his simple passes have been been going astray of late and his confidence has been drained. I don't believe that dropping him is the answer. He is the type of player that seems to me will respond better to encouragement rather than being dropped. Let's face it, this guy has quality and, when he's on form, some of his play and passes have been sublime. I'm sure Pablo will come good on a consistent basis and be a huge asset for us but, like all the posters on here, I'd like to see it sooner rather than later.
I like to see laudrup improve his tactics and fans not blame the players all the time....if the players dont do what they are told its not laudrups fault don't wash....He could sub them or tell them at half time or not play them at all, so to blame the players every week is deluding yourself into believing laudrup cant do anything wrong which of course is bull****.....Laudrup has not shown anything special in the last few months in the premiership and his after game speech is beginning to make him look stupid...he is the boss he calls the shots and he must take the flack...
As much as I'd love to see him in a Swansea shirt then how can you blame a manager when a player can't make a simple pass from a distance of 4-5 yards .I see a new target is being set up here
Spoken like a true Liverpool fan... I really dont see what your issue is with Laudrup Dai, and im pretty sure his after game speeches are far from stupid! I think the problem your having is that you cant understand the finer points of football, its been clear to me for many years that your not quite the full shilling and your quest to finger point at Laudrup is proof of that for me. Of course, every single manager will get things wrong from time to time but you fail to understand is that out of 11 players on the field there will always be a few that are below par or have dips within the 90mins. You cant always legislate for that kind of thing but the more you pay for world class the less of a consistancy problem you'll get. If the Swans get 3/4 players not performing it affects the whole team,we are not good enough to be anywhere other than 100% and get results, there isnt a whole lot you can do about it within 90mins either, sure you can make a change but you cant change more than 3 and even then you need to think about tactics, what if we get a goal keeper sent off or injured? what if we need an extra defender to protect a goal advantage etc, etc. It seems to me that you think everything is down to the man on the sidelines where as 99% of people that have either played or follow closely agree that when you cross the white line your influence as a manager is minimal at best..you cannot make wholesale changes during the course of a game !! the players that are picked may well have been the best in training that week and may have been chosen for a certain reason,if they fail to perform on the day,you can change 1 but after that your tactical options are limited, especially with a squad like Swansea has. Failiure to understand any of these factors will only enable you to come to the same conclusion as you very often come to...the wrong one!! You have a track History of picking on whoever is doing the best job at the Swans . If its not Huw jenkins it was Rodgers then it was DG then Routs then somebody else now its Laudrups turn.. 46% of the premier league managers think he is the best this season but Daiswan thinks he is **** ! ..
And the majority of RM fans (you know Dai, one of the biggest clubs on the planet) want him as his manager. What he has achieved with us in his 1st season in the PL and a very tight budget speaks wonders about the mans ability as a manager. As for tactics, have you not been watching us playing different styles of football this season? Because of ML we are now able to play 3 or 4 different ways in games
why when i put my case well that you cant answer do you result back to insults norway ...I like laudrup just as much as anyone but im not blinded by the euphoria of his ability...... All im saying is he is the boss, he picks the team and he instructs the players on how to play and looking at the last few months he has not out witted any manager and most have out witted him, So there is no need to start your pathetic childish insults because you cant put your case on why we have not been able to beat teams or when we dont look comfortable on the pitch, All i can see is fans blaming the players for fear of saying something bad about laudrup.....not me im afraid im a realist and not blind and can see its laudrups tactics that have been poor not the players....
Dai i put the case foward but unfortunatly you have those Blinkers of yours on !! one way road with you sometimes, your right everyone else, including the Majority of Premier league managers are wrong!! ..
One is the actions of the other...the players were brilliant not that long ago that fans were all saying different players were there man of the match....What has changed ? Ill tell you what has changed and a few have said it on here and that is the way we are playing and that comes down to laudrup, he instructs the way we play not the players and its been poor and lack luster to say the least.....so it has more to do with the manager than anyone...If it is his intention to change things then that is good but if its not working then revert to what we do best and not make excuses after the match...
proof you are blinkered im afraid...you cant vote laudrup as the best manager as ain't you suppose to win matches..
You are correct I CANT !! but premier league managers know a bit more than you or me and 46% of them think Laudrup has done a great job this season, of course mistakes are made,im sure Arsene wenger, Mancini and Fergie have made those too . This is a fact Dai, you can argue till your blue in the face on this one but when our manager gets voted by his peers as being the best in the league with the team and budget at his disposal you have to acknowledge we have a good un on board !! Your statement about Laudrup not winning matches is truely Pathetic as well, i think you will find he has won enough games to keep us up and enough games to enable us to play in and indeed win our first major cup in 100yrs !! with the squad of players he has im not quite sure what else he is supposed to do!.. What do you think Laudrup needs to do to improve then Dai ??
My only criticism of ML in this matter is that he took the wrong two off on saturday - the topic was Pablo's performance the last couple of weeks in particular - although I believe the one or two sublimes are outweighed by the disruptions the rest cause.
I tend to agree with you lumberjack, there are many people that thought Ki had a decent game and a change there wasnt expeted from me . Pablo is what he is and that is a player who can be world class one week and average at best the next week, thats why we got him for £5m quid ! If we paid £15m for him then i think the knives would have been out for him by now, but all things considered he has those games because he isnt a top top player, same with DG missing his chances,he cost us £3,5m quid and did a fine job for the money. We as Swans fans will have to expect that some signings will be patchy from time to time, nothing wrong with giving it to them with both barrells when they are poor, they are professionals , but i think we also need to sometimes remember that while £5m is a **** load of cash for us, its absolutly ****ing peanuts in the premier league! Thats something we all forget sometimes, all our players are up against top quality week in and week out.
nobody is slagging laudrup here so dont get that impression. Im saying he has not been effective in his game tactics that in turn effects some players on the pitch....the amount of moaning on here shows that we have not been playing well and some has pointed out why.....we all admire laudrup but he is not perfect and that has been shown by other managers out witting him for quite a few games now....Look at the arsenal game and look how many of you thought we would win....when i predict i try to go with my head and not with my heart and with recent matches played i could not see us getting near to arsenal and i was right. Now the manager must take the blame for our resent dip in form as he has the power to sub players when he likes and it is he who directs the players on how to play....He is not out of the running when it comes to criticism when we are not playing well...
Lets look at the Arsenal game then. Lets look at what their team cost and what standard of player they have, lets also look at how much monies worth is sitting on the bench, off the top of my head on the bench for them was Keiren gibbs Aaron Ramsey Podolski Vermalen Gervinho Lets compare those options with our bench and how both managers can affect the game with utilising the benches. Lets also look at what Arsenal have to play for and what Swansea have to play for. Swansea - Nothing of real importance, safe in the prem league and European football is secure for next season. Arsenal - Need every single point available to qualify for champions league,no other trophies to play for other than getting as many points as possible and closing the gap towards spurs. Now,for some reason that escapes me you seem to think Laudrup has super human managerial skills! there is only so much he can do, ive already explained to you how he can use the bench with limited affect and ive already told you that making wholesale change is not possible in the middle of a game, a game i might add we were well into until the 80th minute or so (75th i think) So all your analisis comes down to 15mins against a team that has been top 4 since the premeir league began and costs hundreds of millions of pounds!! you can see how it defies logic cant you ? For Arsenal to win this game they brought on over £20m quids worth of players to push them over the line! Gervinho and Ramsey came on after 70mins, thats how they managed to beat us,they have aces on the bench and we dont ! all the tactical awarness in the world cant beat a stronger bench sometimes, it is what it is im afraid, teams when not scoring have stronger options than us to bring on, and im not talking about a striker from the lower leagues like DG im talking about serious top quality players . All your argument comes down to the last 15mins against Arsenal, quite frankly i think we are looking at this the wrong way, the more we talk about it the i realize how much of an incredible job our club has done, and thats largely down to Laudrup ,like it or not we would have been alot worse off this season if this gut wasnt manager. No Michu No Pablo No Chico No JDG = no goals and a leaky defence= relelgation fodder Be thankful for what we have got Dai, and if you wish to be objective at least back up your argument with something other than "its all Laudrups fault " or words to that effect
We haven't been playing well for a while , we come out of the blocks firing on all cylinders but after 20 minutes or so we fade badly, we have an example of Gower not being match fit perhaps theres a lack of stamina because it isn't tactics .Tired bodies = tired minds how many times did you see us with procession Saturday and no one making a run into space , dyer on occasion was quite happy to stand directly behind an Arsenal player wiih Rangel with no option on and that was repeated , too many players are hiding and I mean that literally. But in saying all that I couldn't have wished for more than we've had this season ,anyone swear we're the finished article ,not by a long way
