I lost my parents within 3 months of each other last year and I must admit now that I should have taken a break away from this forum as it did have an obvious effect on my attitude to other posters on the forum. Thankfully I have come out the other side and I'm feeling in much better shape mentally now. A break will be good for you Wonky if you are feeling in a fragile state. <ok>

I guess we all write stuff on here and have no idea how our various scribblings will be interpreted and taking JWM's point, the state of the reader and how they may react. I don't think any poster on here would ever try and hurt any fellow member and that should be the guiding principle. Things can get a bit heated but the line should never be crossed. We're all Canaries at the end of the day, or closet ones!!

Looking at some of the vitriolic spiteful posts on other boards between rival fans makes our rivalry look like an arguement between choir boys (and girls)! On the whole both Ipswich and Norwich posters know where the line is drawn and although I have been guilty of over stepping the line from time to time in the past, and earning a swift rebuke from Maestro and Dave, I am pleased that we all do this for harmless fun!

On here I agree Warky, but for some on a derby matchday at Carrow Road or The Portaloo ..............well that's a different story <yikes>

I've seen some right old punch-ups down the years in both Ipswich and Norwich so I'm not suggesting that we have a friendly rivalry when we meet!

Cheers mate, just hope Wonky feels the same.

Little Poppy is doing great thanks, she's four months old next week and we just can't believe how quickly that has flown by! Just started teething since Christmas so she's been a bit grumpy and irritable lately with nappy rash galore - she's finally started taking after the missus then ;)

Cheers dave! <ok> Sleep deprivation isn't an excuse for me. I hate using my medical conditions as an excuse for how I behave.

Also, agree about Carrabuh! I think we all think the same of him and have come to expect it!

    That's the point - jest, it's a joke! But thanks. <ok>

Thanks! <ok> I'll be honest and say that some of your comments directed towards me have been irritating but I have a thick skin I can cope!

Still, there are real people who it's being directed at and who read it.

Thanks Munky! Very grown-up of you! <ok> What you had said yesterday was utterly ridiculous and pathetic! It's clear the less/fewer thing is a joke. You don't like it you ignore it and move on. It's also a sort of family thing! My granddad was able to pick up on the incorrect use of less and fewer less than 4 weeks before he died and he was nearly 92! You also said many people on this board don't like it! If they don't I wouldn't do it. Also, correct grammar is incredibly important I feel!

Although I do realise people's humour is different. Mine is a type where it's difficult to tell if I'm being serious or not! Unless what I say is completely ridiculous.

Also, when you've had the 8 months I've had the smaller, irrelevant things are worse!

But I appreciate the apology! Thanks!

    Thanks!

Cambridge is great unless you're on Mill Road! <laugh>

Not strictly true, but I probably just should have kept my fingers quiet and I'm just glad we're all friends again now anyway <ok>

Wonky, I hope you get better soon fella and I hope you reconsider as you would be sorely missed by many on both sides of the Norfolk / Suffolk border.

At this juncture I could get into a debate about the literal meaning of the word "pathetic"......

    ......but I won't ;)

I literally am wonky - one leg shorter than the other. I also conform to the Norfolk stereotype as I was born with 6 toes!

Not needed my friend, we're all good <cheers>

I'd rather be talking about the game tomorrow by now though I reckon, which reminds me I've not done my predictions or coupon for the weekend's games yet so I'd better get on with it! I fancy Wigan, Stoke and Liiverpool to win this weekend, and I fancy Garrido to open his account tomorrow as a cheeky outsider.
That's me done with this thread now, think that's enough from me on this one <ok>

As mentioned It's a football forum we're never going to agree with one another on everything and from time to time things do get heated, basically we all think we're right that's our problem and when we have strong viewpoints that clash all hell breaks loose. I've participating in the past at times for throwing insults at other people I've calmed it down a lot as it's not worth it really. All the best with your recovery Wonky and whatever you decide to do.

The real Norfolk stereotype is 6 toes on one hand, and three legs shorter than the other, you're not REAL Norfolk.
