For every good war film like platoon there’s 100 ****e ones like Jarhead and Dunkirk.
There’s been some good ones though.

It went mainstream eventually but for a while Withnail and I was a flop before becoming a cult film. It’s brilliant.

De Niro plays a nasty **** in that one.
For the mafia film fans A Bronx Tale is very good and bizarrely underrated.

I love A Bronx Tale. The other awesome film with De Niro is Ronin. It's a masterpiece.
I like gangster films and a really good one is Sonatine by a Japanese director Takeshi Kitano.
I got out of watching movies for reasons I can't really fathom. Definitely going to try and change that this year.
The one with Blake lively and Anna Kendrick? Apart from the totty it was okay. Not sure i would call it a classic though days
