True however clubs are more willing to sell when they have a replacement lined up. Like buttner- he cant go until they sign baines. Also what happens if someone bids megabucks for say forster now? Celtics board will sell and we cant replace? Izzaguire linked with a move too. Er could have no left back if a bid accepted
Why all the negative comments on our transfers this year , hooper replaced by Balde/ pukki , victor replaced by Rogic /bitton and Wilson replaced by kolo / van Dijk plus with got Derk . Can I remind people when we got Hooper , victor , Wilson , the comments , Scunthorpe striker !! Belgium reject , Forrest bosman . Our clubs is doing a great job in the transfer market but the Internet fans seem to want more, I heard no complaints on Saturday at Dundee from the fans that actually go to the games .
The problem is Harry, when the Board are raking in £40m from CL and transfers and only spending a fraction of it on the squad then people have the right to complain. I can understand your comment about Wilson but I don't remember anyone moaning about Hooper or Wanyama. Maybe Eddie but he's a moaning faced **** at the best of times.
I'm inclined to agree with you Harry even though I was disappointed we didn't get Alfreð Finnbogason as we badly need a good out and out striker. However we've done very well getting Virgil van Dijk who looks a strong and impressive prospect and Nir Biton - if everything I've read about him is true. Tomas Petar Rogić is tipped to become a star which remains to be seen. Not so sure about Derk Boerrigter who's touch, so far, hasn't looked great to me but early days yet; Steven Stefan Fabrice Mouyokolo looks average if even that but again early days yet; and Amido Baldé has also yet to settle in and show us of what he is really capable. Teemu Pukki is reckoned to be a very intelligent footballer so here's hoping he's the answer to our missing goal scoring chances. I think that on here, we're, maybe mostly, a bunch of pessimistic, sad depressives - otherwise we wouldn't spend so much time on the internet. On the other hand, look at it this way - if we keep forecasting doom and gloom we can't suffer disappointment which might be too much to take and if/when everything works out well, the contrasting heights of euphoria we experience will keep us going, at least for a while, in our dreary everyday lives.
Don't know if you guys continue shopping today but I made a list of 'talents' or cheap targets that are left in the Eredivisie: http://thecovereport.sportsblog.com/post/196802/transfer_deadline_day_sort_of.html Sven Kums of Heerenveen is already gone, other than that the list is still accurate.
We can only register out of contract players as our window shut on Saturday unlike the entire rest of Europe.
... well, (in football terms) apart from Poland, Portugal, Serbia and Switzerland where the deadline was the same as that of Scotland, apparently. http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/st-johnstone/237781-scottish-fa-set-saturday-transfer-deadline-against-uefa-recommendation/
