Back to the thread I happen to agree with this actually. Our team are small and I think we will struggle against the likes of Stoke, Bolton which we say and unfortunately the Chelski scum. Lets hope we can make our football do the talking!
Cheers Sam,some on here thought i was mocking our players but i was just pointing out that we might be under some serious aerial bombardments against the teams you've mentioned. It's not only in defence either, how many headers are our centre-backs gonna win when we have corners? It looked the other night that Derry was the target,**** knows why,his heading is awful.
Ahh Pezenas, lovely town square, good restaurants load of antique shops if i remember rightly, goods wines as well. Been drinking a rose' from there this summer available in Tesco over here â¬5.99 bargain.
Forgot to add, yes we do look on the short side and may struggle on set pieces, still its a good job we try to play the ball along the ground most of the time, thought we were teriffic on Monday, just need some goals.
Hammersmith I agree. Its the first thing I thought when we lined up against Bolton. However I must say Ferdinand and Gabbidon won more than their fair share of headers at the back on Monday night and Faurlin has a great leap and wins a lot more then he should in the middle. Bothroyd also does well when the ball is hit long. I think there will be games where are lack of height becomes more evident but im hopeful with the commitment we showed on Monday night we'll be fine. Even Wright-Phillips was winning headers and Im sure I even saw Taraabt jump for a couple

I thought the toon has a particularly tall team if that's where your getting the comparison from and the smallest player on the pitch was motm does it really matter?
I remember an article in the Times from a couple of years ago, I think it was. It highlighted the size difference between Chelsea and Arsenal at that time: incredibly, it was about a stone a man on average! This was the period when everybody was saying that Arsenal could be bossed about and knocked off the ball by bigger teams, as they had just experienced against Chelsea. Therefore, unlike Swords, I think it is a valid question, although Willy's data seems to suggest that, with a couple of exceptions, we're pretty average. Personally, I prefer to have a tall team but if they carry on playing like they did on Monday, I'll take that level of performance every time.
Bloody hell Hammersmith. Getting 30 replies to this Thread is impressive. I must say I didn't anticipate it.
Here's a few players I thought we could sign in the next transfer window..... Emmanuel Petite Diminutive Berbatov Huelho Gnomes Lilliputian Thuram Chris Smalling
