Football is a squad game, 25 players not 3 or 4. Foxes had a half decent squad hence there mid table position, we had a half decent squad hence ours although a few positions higher would have been the outcome if we did not have such a poor start. Leeds had a half decent squad but ran out of steam and fooked up as they often do in this league. Adding new players of quality does not always add to the squad overall. We could have Messi in our squad and still end up mid table again becuae of the quality around him...it is key to add certain types of players in certain positions, make them fight for their place and the cause...this will win the championship...not just getting anyone available and throwing money at it.....Look at our premier league seasons for proof. We have added young hungry players with a bit of experience...this is the blend any championship side should have for success....our 2008 season proved that...Windass and Cambell as an example. Fyatt will be the key man again, he will score and setup others to score...we need to be solid in defence unlike last season (although we had quite a few clean sheets mid to late season) we need to score and defend well and we will win more than we lose...Pearson is getting the right blend, a good keeper or 2, a couple of wingers and a ball playing midfielder and we have a good squad to choose from......this of course depends on getting shut of Bollard, McShane and Oli...personally I would keep Bollard but his wage is a problem so expect those 3 to go before we get any prem loans in. Looking forward to a good pre season where we will see how some of the new lads are to fit in...cannot wait for the Friday night Blackpool game......its the biggest game at the start of the season and they will be ****e without Charlie Adam.
