I like you guys and hope you don't go down but have to admit that is pretty funny...

Hardly surprising though after the first couple of games, they are only responding to bets placed.

How many people do you know that win off the bookies? Shortening the odds on a struggling team just draws money in for the bookies mate, doesn't mean they will be right. We've lost our first two games, it's not the end of the world, yet.

'No', 'yes' and 'a few'. I'd rather all this **** happened now, so we have a chance to right it. Our squad is not the worst in the league, contrary to the opinion of many.

Well here is some truth or sorts.

A guy I work with knows Short quite well, he has drinks with him regularly. They have a business relationship. He has no reason to lie to me and is a very respected guy who works in sport.

Last time I spoke with him he told me: "Ellis is sick of spending money on players managers want only to find out they are sub standard. Out of 10 his current interest in Sunderland is about 1."

I was told this in Jan which is why I was quite surprised when we signed Defoe.

My personal feelings are if his interest is 1 he should sell the club to someone who is interested. Or get your money out and make it a success. Short is a winner but he is about to find out what losing big time feels like.

Tells alot and a little insofar ES has searched for a winner and can't seem to find the right one to either raise our profile for sale or justify him taking us over. One way he has burnt his fingers, another he has wasted money he can afford and lost interest in us. Either he could walk away whenever he wanted but has chosen to appoint another manager, possibly persuaded him to come back after liking his vision for this season. I just have a feeling about a watched pot not boiling, all of a sudden something will happen - but what?

Can you clarify what that actually means? It can't mean 1 out of 10, is the attention he's giving us. He's chairman of the board, there's no way he'd divert all his attention without installing a new chairperson. He must have a lot in interest and concern in the club as much as an inconvenience it's become for him. If it's interest in the project as a whole which I suspect it is? it looks like he's balancing the books before he sells.
