Couple of interesting quotes directly from BIG

my toys are still out of the pram but just so no one is under any illusion, the sale of snodgrass is by the current owners, sanctioned by them despite the new owners intentions to keep him. thats all i know for now and i'll probably get shot for opening my gob but bollox, its true.

Players have an assett value mate, thats whats agreed, in snoddys case its been suggested that was 750k, bates can sell for 3 million and put 750k back into the deal.

Nice little pay off for Bates then. Wonder how long he has been pocketing the difference? Makes sense with the Delph Gradel & Howson money seemingly disappeared.

Wouldn't surprise me if he holds out for the sale of Rosco before leaving.

I don't know if I should feel pissed off with the new owners for taking so long or Bates for shafting us all once again. What a ****ing joke, £750K for Snodgrass and £2.25M for Bates, talk about the roller coaster ride that is to be a Leeds Supporter

Well, it has never been a takeover talk. It has been talks of investment to the club. So I don't understand why everyone is talking about a takeover that never has been on the books.
It's like the feather that turn in to a chicken<doh>

They would not need Due Diligence if it were an investment, takeover was confirmed several times. T/O or Investment it is taking far too long and from what Bucks has posted from BIG it seems Warnock will get £750K to replace a player worth £3M+

It still does not hide the fact that Snoddy could have stayed put if he wanted to. I would have just to p*ss the old bugger off.

My understanding is the new owners wanted to keep Snod but Bates is still pulling the strings although a price and other variables have been agreed Bates still owns the club and sanctioned the move. This could cause some friction but again I believe that the point of no return so to speak has already been passed.

In other news Harvey is set to stay on as CEO. <grr>

I do not claim to be in the know or have an inside man, this is all what BIG has said (chairman of LUST)

Yes it is if they want to know if this is a safe investment. You don’t buy into businesses blind. I have never seen any official confirmation on a takeover. The club as only confirmed that it is an investment. But IF, and I mean it’s a big if, that this turns out to be a takeover then I will be ecstatic. But I I’m not going to set myself up for a huge disappointment if it’s not<ok>
And the latest with Snoddy going only makes me believe even more that it’s not a takeover<ok>

Read Post 21 - When you buy stocks and shares do you perform due diligence? No way would Bates allow anyone to have the books and accounts if all they wished to do was invest. This is a takeover or it was and it has gone tits up and Bates is keeping things quiet in the hope to sell season tickets and drag it on longer.

Maybe it's all just a case of bates trying to step more into the background.

He knows that he has now alienated a lot of the fans and I also suspect that he would NOT like a lot of journo's or the panorama team sniffing around Elland Road looking into all the dodgy dealings.

So maybe he thinks him stepping away from the limelight and bringing in a bit more investment will keep the wolves from the door and encourage the crowds to come back.

Selling Snoddy and keeping Harvey as CEO does not indicate that his departure from ER is coming anytime soon.

Yes you will if you want to know what you are putting your money in to<ok>
Does anyone know if BIG is in the know? Does he or LUST know more that the rest of us?
My opinion is that I don’t think they do<ok>

They did tell you that they were in direct talks with the new owners and even suggested that you "dare to dream"
Now they are addressing them via their website - strange one that eh?

Fair comment and I have questioned that and wondered at times myself. Again I believe they do but then as one of our Millwall fans pointed out, why make a statement on a web site if you are in contact with the buyers <confused><confused>

I am still grasping at my theory that the sale is done and dusted but they are holding off on announcing until the transfers in are substantially completed so as not to inflate asking prices.

Anything other than that explanation is likley to be a negative for us.
